CvS 3

Agreed.

God…close this fucking thread already. Shit is NOT happening anytime soon.

We need 35 Samurai Shodown characters on SNK side in CVS3.
Then I might think about playing it ^^

I wouldn’t play CvS unless each match took at least 10 minutes. Standards, people.

Lmao

Fuck CvS3.

Garou 2.

An SNK game that doesn’t suck.

I just want another game so I can…

Well Mr.Howard Sr. the fuck outta people.

yeah, maybe they should do a similar process on cvs3
and bring in some third strike characters
it’d be cool

Ash in CvS3…And Falcoon as main designer…
NOOOOOOO!!!

Guys all that really needs to said about this is

The game will not be out for a long time if ever and the graphics should be top notch with no slacking and the game play better be deep and balanced for both sides.

Done

Close thread

how many buttons do you think cvs3 will have?

i remember ringopan thought sf4 would have this many

there should be buttons to let you switch grooves while in the game.

done.

opening can of worms for discussion in thread.

The problem with CVS2 is that everything felt "cut and paste"and the presentation was so confusing. So many different sprites from different games combined with 3D effects and backrounds just made for a very"my head hurts"aethestic(sp?). The game lacked a overall cohesion which is why I personally hated the groove system, I’d prefer for a engine based off the mechanics of the entire SF series…something universal you know.

Visually the game needs to deliver, and I’m hoping they steer away from the"gears of war"look SF4 has adopted in exchange for something similar to the portrait art from 3s or SSF2T. On the SNK front, a lot of SNK characters were botched IMO so that is something they can certainly work on.

Well, if I had a choice how to do it. Here’s what I do it. A bit of listamania on my part, but this would be a more coherent game.

Capcom vs SNK 3: Street Fighter vs Fatal Fury.

Fatal Fury Side: Real Bout 1 Cast+ These 5 (Xiangfei, Rick, Krauser, Raiden, and Ryo as a boss character.

SF Side: SFA2G Cast + Cody (FF version) + Haggar (based of Slammasters version with some changes). Akuma would be the Boss on the SF side.

Chars would be modified to fit the system if needed.

Gameplay mode: meter would work like SF4, S-Powers would generally be supers, P-Power the ultra, though some may be changed. EX moves would exist.

Instead of Saving Attacks, you’d get breakshots from the Real Bout series (which work like Vampire Hunter- and you can EX those- would cost 1 bar of super). Feint attacks from RB would be in, but feint cancels would cost the same meter as SF4. Most chars would have 1 or 2 feints.

The game would use the 6-button system. SNK chars on the CvS2 side would be similar to those versions, though maybe with a new move, and better able to compete with the Capcom cast.

Gameplay story wise: set the game in Metro City and Southtown entirely. (why Cody and Haggar were added- to put the cast up to 21 for the Capcom side, and to allow for a coherent story. Have the intro feature Cody/Haggar/Guy vs Andy/Joe/Terry and Bison vs Geese)

garou is the 3s of snk in that it sucks ass and noobs love it

difficult inputs don’t bother me, I’m against of combos becoming to easy. The problem a see with 2.5D is the movement itself. It feels hella clunky specially on jumps.

I think we should just get CVS3 Dat Madden style, a useless new feature in training mode and updated rosters.

That’s what bothers me, it should be in their best interest to make a good game everytime possible, not simply when ‘motivated to do so.’

Not that capcom is innocent from this too, cough, CFJ.

And the Marvel Vs series in general, and the first SF, and New Generation (except for the presentation)…

Really…Now that I look back at the past couple of games, SNKP hasn’t fucked up royally in a while.

Last bad year for them , imho, was 2003. They were still just getting used to making the games and trying to see what fans wanted.

After all these years, they finally figured out how? Maybe I should give em another chance. Thx for the heads up.
