no no it was one of the better ports to console. but it was certainly not better. not by a long shot.
true experience wise the emulation wil not live up to the real deal. but a pentium 3 in a custom arcade cab can almost be the same.
not 100% maybe 98% but its definitely better then any console port.

The context of our discussion is playing on an original NES console. Your reply was “emulation :blah:.” Emulation is totally irrelevant to somebody who’s nostalgic experience is partially based on actually plugging in cartridges, playing on their old tube TV, on the original controllers, etc., etc.
Point two was that you used Contra as an example of “arcade is teh roxorz. NES is teh suxorz.” Do your research and you will find that the NES version of Contra is the better game. The NES is not capable of the arcade graphics/sound, but when Konami ported Contra to the NES, the overall gameplay was improved and I am not alone in saying that the NES version is the better of the two. Bad Dudes, on the other hand, was a turd on the NES :lol:

no way dude.
there is no absolute way contra on nes is better then the arcade version.
graphics and sound were far more superior in the arcade.
like i said the port was a good port. one of the only good arcade to console ports made.
but there is no way in hell it is better.
