Custom PS4 Stick?

Sound. My stick is dual modded with an imp using an xbox one pcb and a 360 pcb. Could I add this in there and use a separate cable for the ps4? Solder the buttons to the button points on the imp?

Nice! Mind taking a shot of the reverse side for good measure?

The imp only switches data+/- lines between boards, the only button that should be connected to it is the one that you hold to switch pcbs. So in short, no.

You could add this in by connecting the signal wires to one of the other installed pcbs’ signal lines, connecting ground, and connecting VCC. You would need either a separate output cable or a switch to toggle between your imp setup and the ps4 pcb.

where do i get one?

I don’t get why the Sanwa Xrd controller has the annoying smaller-top-row-buttons and bigger-bottom-row-buttons (like the Genesis/Saturn controllers). Give me all same-sized buttons like the Hori Fighting Commanders.

On a side note, I’m a little surprised that the PCB is made by Exar.

Great, thank you.

It’s probably active low, those little arrays all over the place look like 10k ohm pull ups for the STM’s I/O.

THanks for showing the backside. not really good at soldering on small contacts without drilling any holes (i know it’s stupid) but will wait for your results and try it out anytime soon.

Whats the price on one of this pads

Fighting Commander 4 is out of stock today on play-asia

Did any of you ungrateful beat me to it and purchased it yesterday?

Oh the pains of the first year of a new console generation…

it’s been years and i have still not able to hack this pad. just wanted to go back as I just sold my ps4 stick :frowning:

I just want a refresher and clarify if this would work if i solder the parts using the wires (drawn).

Photobucket blows. We can’t see that. Host it on imgur

Common ground so you don’t need to solder multiple points on the pcb for ground. Would be easier to daisy chain.

Use a Multimeter to reconfirm which points are your common ground.
You only need one ground wire for your Joystick.

Most joysticks ether use a 5 pin harness* or use can daisy chain the grounds.

*Note some optical joysticks has extra pins for power.
