sounds like you’re starting to get a little discouraged about the whole ordeal, but don’t sweat it, that’s just business, i just thought i should bring up a few things:
1 - it’s obvious that you found a system for making those bitchin tops, so i hope you can look at obstacles like massive quantities as an opportunity to improve that system
2 - if you are really serious about this, then i want to support you guys to the fullest. i think there are two ways you could go with this. if you want to reach a wide main stream market, maybe you should try to adapt your tops to match an existing market that’s already available, such as the seimitsu opalescent push buttons (ps-14-p) and the translucent ones (ps-14-kn). if you find the formula to match those almost perfect, you’d be set (and i think you already nailed it with the white swirl - great job). the other way is full custom tailoring, which it seems to me that’s the direction you’re looking to head toward. if that’s the case, i wouldn’t worry about trying to make hundreds of them, just don’t be afraid to bump up the price if you need to, because we’ll buy them anyway, heh.

@Weezy: at the moment they only have solid colours to offer us and we’re not interested in those.
@Lickey: Thanks for you advice. We’re certainly weighing up our options at the moment. We will have to rule out full custom tailoring though, it’s just not feasible unless the customer is willing to foot a large bill as at least 100 will have to be made per request, and trying to ship 99 extra units in someone’s individual taste will prove difficult.
BE has the threads for the first batch and I know that he’s begun installing them today, he may have finished as we speak. He’s going to then send them on to me to distribute to those of you that got in first. I’m waiting for word that they have all be completed before I message you all with payments details etc. I will then post here to say that all first batch orders have been complete and apologize to those that didn’t get in in time.
Batch 2: waiting on more threads to arrive so please bear with us on those. Also there are still some left in that batch.

So…I’m a little confused…if the next batch came out, does this not count as a reserve. Tried PMing but inbox was full. I wanted 2 of the the black swirled marble. I guess if these aren’t produced anymore, I’ll have to wait for another next batch of 2 of #2 or 2 of #8…please let me know what the deal is so I know when I can expect to make any orders
It’s pretty similar, yeah. It’s hard to say just how close when comparing a backlit monitor to an object, though.
The balls are also slightly differently coloured (well, the colour takes on a different depth) when viewed from certain angles because of the metallic swirl underneath.

This is the thing, mate. We’re completely at the mercy of the suppliers as to what we can make at the moment. There might not be another black/white swirly for 6 months or so, then again there might be 10 comes along in the next batch.
We can have any colour made at any time as long as we have a minimum order of 100 units, though, but that’s a lot of balltops (and a lot of money to part with).
We’re exploring our options for the moment and seeing where we can go from here.

I’ve contacted everyone that got in on the first lot now, just waiting on responses, naturally if anyone has changed their minds then I will get in touch with the next in line. Number 1 lesson learned: ALWAYS number your pictures!
