I’ll agree random ultras, less shortcuts and visible stun meter.
I hate taunting in fights so no thats not cool, also the fact that some don’t do much and some make your character bananas (see Q’s taunt)

You’re going to tell me stricter timing on combos…when 3S is all short into super. short into super. short into super. The entirety of round 2 and 3 are both players whiffing shorts to hopefully land one to get a super off. There are only a few characters who have no use for that.
3S is NOT nearly as aggressive as super or even vanilla SF4 will ever be. It’s pokes, and it’s the same poke, and it’s not even getting close pokes. It’s not. There are so many fighters where one person gets their short into super off and just sits back whiffing another short hoping for the other person to get close and hope they don’t get hit by a short into super.
I can understand you not seeing the difference between a scrub in 4 and a highly skilled player since you don’t play/watch the game, because if you did you would notice a clear difference.
Parry’s are cool and all but unless you are the personification of Yomi, you’ll only be parrying whiffed supers, fireballs and jump ins. Focus attacks at least add a different layer of strategy, you see someone jumping in? You focus, if you choose to let go they can either block and you’ll be at a disadvantage or you’ll hit them and you punish them for being reckless, or you can dash back and see how they react. Focus involves more thought than parrying. Also if you FADC something on block you’re negative and it does take a bit of skill to FADC certain things on.
TL;DR, If you think Third strike scrubs don’t exist, wait until 3SO.
I’m not saying they build meter, but people hit confirm short into super. I was also saying they Whiff shorts to try to get someone to counter poke so they could hit them with THEIR short.

Considering the fact that right up until AE dropped the IV series was a heavy footsie game with all the defensive characters being so strong. AE is so offense oriented now there aren’t much footsies to be played because you can get rolled on so easily. That’s a lot of the reason on why I think Rose is bad now.
In 3rd strike I’ve seen plenty of things get parried outside of a super or jump in, and really who throws fireballs in 3rd strike? Fireballs in 3rd strike is like throwing someone free meter. There’s also a much higher risk/reward with the parry system. You can try and parry a normal and guess wrong and now you just ate a full combo because you mistimed a forward press. Using focus attacks usually doesn’t ever lead to that and they are completely safe for the most part. Focus attack back dash c’mon man. The only way those are getting punished is if your always doing.
Also consider the fact that in 3rd strike no footsie is safe at all for the threat of being parried. You can throw normals all day in IV and be good but get fucked in 3rd strike for being reckless.
Anyone have any experience with the ASUS VE245h monitor? I found one for $90 and im thinking of picking it up as a spare monitor for my setup. I cant find any information on it in terms of input lag though. SRK’s “Definitive HDTV Lag” thread is very fucking indefinite.
anyone have experience with this beast? i mean, if it sucks i’ll just sell it. But i’d like to try to save myself the trip if one of you guys has had lag issues w/ it.

I don’t mind that mechanic. 2 meters is a lot, and making your opponent spend/waste that much can be really helpful. Also, Yun and Oni can’t FADC their uppercuts on block.
It’s 5 MS you can just google it and find specs for it. I don’t have that particular monitor but I have two ASUS VH236H monitors which have 2 MS response time and thus far have been perfect. The built in speakers are fairly decent only issue is that it does not have a swivel stand, but it does tilt up and down a few degrees. If you have the opportunity to picking it up for 90 bucks I would definitely do it. IMO
Will where were they during 3s? What do they know of team h8? Barnage tourneys? Tokyo Game Action etc etc, noone listens to me when I talk about 3s anyways
