That is a great game, I destroyed it a couple years ago and randomly put it in every now and then to finish up the DLC and mess around in NG+

ah, Lost odyssey. I’ve only played up to the 2nd disc and it’s an enjoyable title. I like that when you equip an item or weapon, there is a skill that comes along with it you can learn after a set amount of battles. its one of the only rpgs to remind me of ff9
I didn’t get very far in it, but hearing THAT makes me want to play it again since 9 is my favorite.
Did Third Strike get patched yet? :-/ I really want to play that game and ish. I havent dug into it much because the online is still poo and needs tweaks.
In other news:
UMVC3 is coming out too early. I played MVC3 for a little while yesterday and i still strongly believe that there is so much to that game we have to learn.
Ya know, i really understand the perspective of “we used to play games for 10 years w nothing new!” but games literally have NO growth or lifespan at all now. I still feel we could have learned lots with SSF4, AE, and mvc3.
I think that is part of the fun about playing competitive fighting games…watching the games grow and develop.
So anyone familiar with the Groton area? Doesn’t seem like much to do around here
I would have come down today, but it was my sons bday. He takes priority. I need to get some serious offline practice in MK. Im hoping to be able to go to seasons beatings. Just gotta make sure I can get the time off work.

I wish UMVC3 come out earlier. I want to get a full year exposure to the game before I go to EVO again next year. Just saying.
I know there’s a sub base but that’s it.
95% or more of the people who play these games do not go to “Evo.”
MVC3 had no lifespan. Not even a year. It’s a stupid release period and if they planned on doing this garbage/whatever content/whatever characters/whatever updates/ etc they should have waited longer and let people appreciate Capcoms products more.
Now you have more of this: “Wait, i just bought mvc3 like 6 months ago. Now i have to get something else?”
Even still, most games now AT LEAST get a year lifespan. That is the average lifespan now (even though i still think that is fucking awful).
UMVC3 is too fast and I think a lot of people can agree with that. I’m not buying that crap.
Yea that’s where I am stationed right now. We did some damage control training today. Went into a big mock up engine room. So I’m pretending to stand watch when 10 pipes burst open and water starts flying everywhere. Called away flooding and got to work. If you were curious, it’s really hard pipe patching when the water is at 100psi and going EVERYWHER3
