I haven’t had any girl be interested enough in my addiction to street fighter enough to actually want to attend an event. I made this mistake once and it ruined my night. Street fighter time is bro time… you wouldn’t bring your wife or girlfriend to a fantasy draft… would you?

First they don’t pay a venue fee, next thing you know they get 5% of the total winnings

On the subject, I’ve brought my then gf to a few tourneys, and she rode up with me and Dieminion to that tourney in MA. She loves watching me play street fighter and although she isn’t really into it she still comments on my play like some of you do. She picks up on my tendencies and she comments on something tricky I might have done. She wanted to play once, but she picked Blanka and I shut off the game

The first tournament I went to in April down in Middletown I had brought my then girlfriend, she had a blast, she loves video games. I was gonna teach her street fighter but eh, I don’t like making girls cry.

Sigh, I wish I had money to go down, but I don’t have enough. I haven’t been to a major and I been playing since vanilla (though I stopped at AE). It’s quite disappointing really, when is it the next one?

Also I wish the Stratford meetups were changed to somewhere to central CT, or at least a bit farther north. 1h 30m is hellofa drive, but I know a handful of people would be able to do a 50m to 1h drive.

There are now Meetups this friday, and might be done once a week, but I don’t know how much of a drive that is for you guys.

If we could all agree upon hosting bi-weekly, (week 1 north, week 2 south, week 3 north, week 4 south), we could get bigger turnouts, I think.

Also what are the biggest names going to ECT3?

Lastly are there any sessions this week, within a 40 minute drive of vernon/manchester area?

There are meet ups in Stratford… I’ve been oblivious to my own hometown…

yea dude, every Sunday. This Sunday there is a big tournament at Gaming Etc 555 Lordship Blvd Stratford CT.
