Jesus Christ the amount of blowing up that’s going in this thread as of late. As it stands right now if I could get a ride to any of these events I would go but alas I am carless right now.
Also at this rate I think it would be better if Don’t Jump doesn’t come to any of these because then I think most of you would go to jail on homicide and body desecration charges, on top of attempted tries to parade said body at every subsequent get together that we have afterwards, and then complete and total sterilization of everyone even slightly related to Don’t jump as to be 100% sure there will never be a chance that another can ever be spawned from the tainted orifices that are women of the Don’t Jump family.

ATM I have little to no plans to go to events for a while because
A-Gas sucks. Traveling and spending like 50$ in total just to play SF/MVC3 makes little to no sense right now. (Gas both ways, entry.) I can easily call a friend to play or go online for a bit.
B-The games that are being played will die very shortly and it’s pointless to put in time. (MVC3, SSF4. With AE almost here and MVC3 close to its death because of Third Strike, Tekken VS SF, SF VS Tekken, Tekken Tag 2 it’s really a waste of time. People are already thinking about not caring about the game anymore and its not even been a year.) MK9 is pretty fun but i’m sure people can see it won’t be as strong as UMK3.
C-I dont like the CT scene…for the most part. So that obviously doesn’t make any sense to go hangout w people I do not like/get along with. I’ve been to the souper bowls in MA and I really like their scene. I do not know about the other states because i haven’t really met most of them but I have met and played Quotes, Marlinpie, dieminion, and min and thought they were really cool people and fun to play.
I’ll see how good/bad AE is when it comes out and figure out if I want to keep playing these new fighting games.
Right now though, I’m only really excited about Third Strike and want to play and learn that. I might start GGPO up on my laptop and run that on my ps3 pad to get better because no one wants to play from CT obviously. Bacardi would but he’s too good for me/doesn’t want to teach me. That’s the problem w CT: No one wants to help anyone.
With that said, id like to personally thank Tommy, Manny O, Kyriptic, Jon, Honda Tech, Magno, Jerry, Andersen, Joey Miggs, and especially SkillZ for helpin my little brother (who was the epitome of free for a while, and mains Cody) to SERIOUSLY level up in SSF4. Your tips, coaching, and merciless beatings REALLY helped him level up. Manny, youre an asshole for teachin him how to properly anticipate a throw and how to crouch tech properly. I cant throw the kid anymore. Fuck you… Anyways, he can hold his own now with really good players thanks to the CT scene. He is still a tad wreckless but he is definitely very good at this game now thanks to a lot of ppl in CT. David lurks this thread, but he wanted to say thanks guys. I found it quite appropriate given the post above me.

Its really more of time constraints for me than anything else honestly, if im going to sit down and play a 10+yr old game I already expect you to know how to play it and be at a more than competent level.
