I wouldn’t be surprised he just closed it indefinitely just because of 3s online being around the corner. I’ve been trying to get damdai to add spectator feature to supercade, but he’s been pretty adamant about not adding it so no streaming older online games.
DJ the only games you can play on supercade that run decent are the CPS2 and Neo games. Anything CPS3 runs like ass, so 3s is a no go on there.
You know, I don’t understand how you can complain about these new games being scrubby when your gameplay is based a lot on a lot of the negative aspects of the modern games. You can get better fundamentally, even in SSF4. You just have to actively be thinking of what are bad habits you have. You have to see where you’re getting your damage and try to avoid situations in which you got damage to something random like mashing jab, which you do constantly, or random dps. When it comes to guessing situations those are fine, but the way you talk it’s as if you’ve already gotten past this phase and you certainly haven’t.
The reason it’s easier to learn fundamentals in old school games is that they don’t really give you any gimmes. Even the top tier or god tier characters are hard to play and require you to be fundamentally sound to reap their full rewards. I’ll play you in mvc2 if you’d like to, it’s a game that will help you get rid of those bad habits asap. CVS2 is also really good to teach you many aspects of important aspects of fighting games especially footsies. I’m not good at it though, back in the day I played mvc2 instead of cvs2 and 3s.
Not only I broke my tekken stick for ps2 but I also made my slim ps2 into 103 pieces and theres no way i will play cvs2 on a pad lol,
only time i ever play cvs2 now is at PF and the last two times there were technical difficulties and I oculdnt get on it… I was a sad panda then…
