I came up with it way back in the day before I even played fighting games. Used to go by “Outsider” when I was a Quake 1/Quake 3 newb back in 1998, 1999 & 2000. When I started getting better at both games after a couple of months I came up with g0dhand.
Despite popular belief that it’s derived from the PS2 game “Godhand”, I just made it up. If anything, it’s a FFVII reference. I’ve never even played Godhand, nor have I even seen it played before. :wonder:
Though lately, I might as well switch my handle over to “fr3yhand” with the way I’ve been playing.
Its an awesome name and goes so well with Street Fighter.
God-Hand is the nick name of Mas Oyama. He was considered the “wandering karate warrior” and helped bring Karate as we know it to the western world. Ryu is loosely based off of Mas Oyama (Or more likely his closest student at the time and heir to the Kyokushinkai, Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura) his closest students and their exploits as wandering warriors in search of the next great test of strength.
(?? ?? J?shima Toshiya) Known as “God Hand” due to his ability to single-hand steer, controlling the car’s yaw rate with very delicate steering/throttle inputs. He is the downhill half of the two man Purple Shadow team. He battles in a refined intellectual style, intentionally pulling his punches, for his own private satisfaction.
Yeah I go to central. I know about the smash sessions, but I never went except to play MvC3 when someone got it early. Not my type of game, seems too casual. Never seen people that really play SF there, at least seriously.
I’m down. I play Ike, though I’m kind of sub-par at Brawl…I can’t take it seriously. There’s a lot of skill in dumb aspects I feel, and there’s a lot of severe balance issues and randomness like tripping and hitboxes done unprofessionally.
Best casual “fighter” ever tho, lol.
If there’s 4 I’d be there in a millisecond though, I like to play new players. Are they somewhat decent? I’m not trying to boast but would they be of competition to any type of tournament player?
If any of you guys want to meet up tommorow to train for Saturday’s PF, let me know. I’ll be training with my crew in Vernon/Tolland CT (PS3 +1 stick), most likely. In the case that I can’t host at my house, me n my friend (if he can make it) will be down for any offline matches. IMO, I know frame data, and matchups across the board minus a few chars, so I could really help anyone with technical knowledge of the game as best as ya’ could. So let me know (anyone) wants to get some matches in tomorrow. My house can comfortably room about 3-5 people if we need a place to host (i don’t have a console myself but i got two lagless tv’s). Let me know what’s up.
With the battlegrounds (PC gaming) in vernon closed down, no more fight nights for the usual crew I game with. : /
The Mayu’s Ocarina account was used for 360 which I don’t have anymore and I kept getting PM’s. I use the new one in tournies and stuff (the 360 I sold to my friend had a year long subscription so he has the pass n shit). This one isn’t only mine, it’s used by 4 of my friends to post on different boards for characters we keep up on so we can use it for hosting in the future. It’s technically my friend’s and I log into it, as well.
