According to SRK everything sucks except obscure jrpg’s.
No, those suck to.
I can explain the whole console vs pc debacle like this. $2000 = shadier trees. yay for you.
My buddy had a $3000 setup to play the game at max settings 2 years ago. He was even so proud of it he took hundreds of pictures of the scenery on his iphone.
He did all this for one game. He could have rented a blue ray of a nature documentary if he was so interested in pretty scenery. $3000 vs $5. Does not compite
-comparing multi-use hardware against a single piece of software that has one use
-not even factoring in the price of the console
confirmed for rabid jealousy; quoted for classic proletariat douchebaggery
I’m surprised at the comparrisons and complaints against the PC version. You have to remember that at the time of release, Crysis was made deliberately to push the boundaries of PC hardware rewarding the hardcore gamer who upgrades everything. It became a benchmark to build your PC on with the net result being that if it could run Crysis on max, it could run anything. An Xbox360 or PS3 simply cannot output that amount of power or resources. It doesn’t exactly look like a pile of shit, it just looks like a console game, if you want to complain about shoddy graphics, buy a PC and play it, otherwise understand the limits of your own machine - you can play Crysis and have it look like the PC version, just not the completely maxed version. That said, the screens I’ve seen are actually pretty impressive for a console.
Just don’t expect the game to make perfect sense against Crysis 2…
First pic has nice colors, 2nd one seems to try and look realistic?
If anything it’s like color settings on TVs: Warm, Cool, etc.
At least it now looks like Crysis and that maybe the gameplay elements could be kept. Initially, after hearing about the lack of foliage, I thought that a major part of the game would change.
And incidentally, I’ve started replaying it. Level 3 now, can’t wait to hit Level 4, my favourite level.
Yeah the new shots give me hope that I can creep in the bushes. I feel compelled to buy this because I love Crysis and I’d like to try it again on a pad but I own it already. And playing with the dev console on is fun. Decisions…

Looks pretty good to me.
