Crouching problems with my SFV TE Arcade Stick

Had this stick since December of last year. Just now I booted up Umvc3 to get some practice in for MvCi. Realized that when I would Crouch, my character would either:
-Get up by itself for a second then go back into crouching motion
-Walk forward for a sec or two by itself
-not crouch at all

This is for both forward and backward crouch. I’m not a stick wiz so no idea what’s happening. I hope i don’t need to buy a brand new stick. Can anyone help me with what I need to do to fix this?

You might have a bad directional microswitch. Might as well replace all four with this:

You will have to remove the restrictor gate on the JLF to get access to the switches.
