That’s some risky shit, everyone saw that video and everyone knows that after an ex tatsu (on air or ground) you’re safe and free to do anything. I tried doing that a few times and it almost never worked. Give it a try only if you’re really desperate (you’re 1 hit away from death and your opponent still has a lot of health)
Ah the phD… it’ll work on your opponent once, and only once. lol
Yeah… I can’t get a bnb to come out online… And you’re suggesting I try something like that! Nah… I just thought it was an awesome move. Desperate as hell, but it almost turned the match in his favour there.
That’s what I love about Akuma: you can always come back from the brink at the unlikeliest times. You just gotta stick with it!
Indeed, I always pull that shit on someone I’ve never played, works once unless they have seen it multiple times before.
Hmmm … When was the last time you fought a very good and advanced Street Fighter IV player?
if you’re not very good they will jump-in often and completly rush you down like a monkey in a trailer park having an acid trip.Happenned to me … Seriously i just realized how much horrible i was.Beating scrubs or average player online it’s different than fighting someone that can top a local tournament(i won’t even dare to enter into the justin Wong or Daigo league).I was complety mezmerizzed of my sucking.
They play in a complete and different reality . The gameplay or his gameplay was helluva to quick for me and i had problem to follow wtf was happenning.
I was staring at the screen with a big WTF above my head.
Not entirely accurate. Playing bad players has led me to discover tactics to beat bad players, and consequently I find those tactics also happen to work on good players.
Hey guys please take a look at my vids and give me some contructive criticism if possible. SF4 is my first 2d fighter that I’ve really taken seriously so any help, especially surrounding spacing/zoning/footsies will help…
Thanks to all!

As Viper you didn’t punish hard enough, you were punishing whiffed shoryus with c.mp xx mp.tk when you had ex, you could have done c.hp (or mp) > ex.seismo > burn kick for some more amount of damage and a knock down which is always good.
You were doing far too many random hp.tks that the Ryu was eating up as well as too many random sj burn kicks. Also save your ex for seismos, don’t use Vipers super much, the seismos do more damage.
As Akuma, work on mixing up your demonflips on wake up against shotos, a lot of the things you did were stuffed by wake up SRK/ TU. Work on trying to cross them up, or do demonflip palms and block to punish. Punish harder with Akuma too, c.m/hp > lk.tatsu > hp.srk, you were doing jabs and stuff when you could have had 300 dmg. Same for when you hit demonflipkicks.
well execution was off but you wont get better playing bad players like that
thanks! I play some decent akumas every so often and I need help w/ the links to bnb combo… what is best link? cr.lk>cr.lp>cr. mp>lktatsu>hp.srk?
Anyone want to do some training with me feel free to hit me up on xbl - KrayzeeJL

One really easy thing that I can tell you is that you need to learn to punish those horribly obvious cross up teleports that he does. You have all the time in the world to cr. fierce those, or shoryu them. And if you have ultra, buffer it into cr.mk and make him eat it.
That Sim was really slide happy…focus those and punish for half his health with bnb of choice
One thing that I saw from the first match was when you had the Sim in the corner you back off and let him out of the corner. Never do this against Sim, he’s got next to nothing in the corner. If he ports out (Furthest he can get on a single port is directly behind you) you throw him back in, then just keep the pressure on, hit BnBs, throw him, demonflip on wake up. Toss that boy about because as soon as he gets out the corner it goes back to /his/ game, which is (for lack of a better word) his run away/ keep away game, which is what Sim wants to do.
Tl;dr: A Sim in a corner is as good as a dead Sim.
Work on your ability to pressure on wake up and up close, because that’s where Sims will fall apart having little on wake up, and it ties into the whole vortexy thing that works well on a lot of people.
Though you did a lot better in the second match, only gripe i have there was what you did after the stun, but you were probably trying to style with a fireball FADC, so I’ll leave that.
I think you lost a lot of health fishing for FAs up close, but I think I’m just nit picking now.
I always feel bad when I type a lot of criticism. Hope I’ve not offended. :x
Unsafe wake-up uppercuts… NOOOO!
You can get better even playing bad players if you understand what you are doing wrong. I have known guys who were able to get to a very advance level of play just using the computers.
It is all how you use them. Now there is a limit on what you can learn since there will always be things that advanced players will do that lower level players won’t, but you can actually get quite a few of the fundamentals by just playing lower level players. Things like spacing, punishing, and timing are needed to beat both good and bad players.
good players will punish you harder. you wont easily forget a whiffed dp
No argument from me. Playing better players is always a good thing. If I have a choice of advanced players or newer players I will always take the advanced players. At the same time even just beating up scrubs online can teach you a few things especially how to time and space your AA since they love jumping.
No matter who you play you need to be able to understand your flaws.
I uploaded some new matches on my youtube channel:
