Without having played the game and only seeing the videos is anyone else afraid they may have made the CC system a little broken? i mean 50% combos in any game is stupid and/or ridiculous imo. just look at SF IV. ultras ruined the game imo.
so for those who have played the game, any opinion? does the CC system feel broken? does the clash and counter they added make up for this? or is it just going to be a CC starter spamming fest?
my feeling is that once the console version comes out its gonna be a CC starter spamming match everytime.
CC combo is like the Sword Destroying move in Samurai Shodown. Every character has access to it, and it can greatly turn the tide of battle. I see no problem with it at all.
How is the system broken and not everyone is going to be able to do those 50% combos. Also how did ultras ruined street fighter 4? Just because they maybe easy to do doesn’t mean that you can always land them, you can’t spam an ultra against someone that knows how to play or mostly everyone.
its not like you can just trigger these. also, you can’t sit on them like ultras in sf4. in fact, you’ll have to put yourself at some risk because you need to actually get a clash when the meter is full, which requires you to land some kind of counter hit setup. and since your cc normal is slowed down, if they make you whiff it, you’re eating damage.
As someone who’s actually played the damn game and watched the damn videos, I can assure you that they’re not broken.

Ultras didn’t ruin a game you suck at.
If anything, CCs change the game and force offense and turtling. You’ll have to play smarter when they can activate CC.

Clash, in a sense does because if 2 people are mashing CC activation, it’ll Clash. At low level scrub play (expect this online), most of it will be s.C, s.C, s.C. x N or roll, s.C. No. You’ll have to work for the counter 70% of the time. Apparently you haven’t watched enough videos.
