I’m still waiting on it to hit other platforms. I really wish I were playing it though. I need something addictive to play.
I’m not sure, as I’ve just beaten the game and haven’t really gone into survival mode but, explosives on those dudes maybe?
it takes two cherry bombs to kill one. Now with the double plant feature its possible to kill one off quick.
The problem is once yo uget to like day 10+ they start attacking in GROUPS, I once had 6 of them on my screen at once (thank god I keep chilli pepper and I was popping freeze shrooms like CRAZY) I survivedfor one more day if I remember correctly, but couldnt’ survive the next BIG wave of them + snow plow guys.
If you see the Abominal Zombie, kill it ASAP, its worth like 2-3 blue diamonds

Use the marrow squasher plant on the gargantuan zombies. I am having a lot of fun using the ultra rapid fire pea shooters (with the 4 shot upgrade) behind the munchers, behind the super high blocks. Really ploughs through ranks.
When a garantuan is coming, dig up a square and plant the marrow and it will squash him in one go, but hte timing can take some work.
Survival mode is good fun, just finished hard day. Spent 5 hours playing last night, and I know that as soon as I have managed to buy everything, and grown my garden, I will never touch this again lol
Godamn, that cut off is the fucking worst. Best way to sell a game EVER.
Also, I’m down for Peggle MM’s ANYtime.
Even trying to use the Squash, it (1) destroys my defense to everything else and (2) doesnt’ recharge enough for the later levels - even with two. I’ve just reserved to keeping a cherry bomb and chilli pepper alongwith the ice shroom, so
I’ll freeze from the back of that row, then lay the chilli pepper (only if there are two or more in that row). It takes them three slams to get past my steal spike weeds at which point I’ll drop a cherry bomb if need be and they DONT walk away from that. I’ll try and take some stills of my current setup…I’ve changed it a bit after reading info forom the 'Wisdom Tree", I only keep one row of frozen watermelons now (sometimes two), and then I use normal watermelons, they do mroe dmg and fire TWICE as fast giving me more dmg for the G-Zombies.
- :bluu:
w00t new hgh flag…35 flags for endless survival. I died with 4 diggers on one side and 6 G-Zombies and two ice laying zombies coming the other way.
I’m trying a new strategy of backing up a row so I ahve TWO rows of metal spike weeeds, this should slow the G-zombies down more, but I can’t farm as much money longterm, I alrweady have my sun capped at 9990 but I’m only like ten or so days in.

Question: is dat crack better than dat peggle??
Fuck yeah. Peggle bores me…let me aim my shot…bow…uhm oh kai…lets aim again…bow…ooh I got da purple one…yawn. I beat it, been doin the puzzle joint on the cellphone while shittin (just bein honest), but real talk, PEggle was never really ‘fun’ to me, and the ‘pressure’ was laughable.
PvZ? come on man…you got zombies trynna eat ya brains. You can be creative with yuour defenses, from tossing exploding wartermelons, to shooting frozen peas that slow down, to ‘caltropping to death’, to blowing up using various explosive items, to one of my favorites, funneling all the zombies into a single file using onions, and just decimate that one row with firepower. There’s actual STRAETGY something missing from Peggle which has a 25% skill ratio and the rest is a factor of the computer’s luck gerneation as the physics in the game get REAL stupid randomly to allow for a lucky bounce or otherwise CHEAT you out of a well aimed shot.
- :bluu:
Have you beaten all the minigames? I cant beat the ones where the sleds come in on the ice.
ave you played through adventure a second time as well?
I’m on my 3rd or 4th adventure play thru, I’ve only done 1/4 of the minigames, but I’ve completed everything else. I’ll try it out jalepeno > ice.

Peggle multiplayer is what kept me playing after beating Single Player. Maybe a challenge here or there on my iPhone but yeah…
PvZ sounds like that hotness. They just need to port it already before the year is out.
IMO no port will do it justice. It needs to be played with a mouse. The resources in the game + the currency drop soo much and so fast that trying to pick it up with a controller or phone would be impossible. Just scoop it on the computer.
- :bluu:
yeah it deffo needs a mouse, especially on the speed and whacking stages.
Hell just try doing survival mode, once you have your defense up and rocking you RAKE in cash, I was mad when a 7 slot was 5K, then I was steaming when an 8th slot cost me 10, got angry when 9 slots was like 20k. I Lulzed at 10 slots being 80K…I made that money in one run in survival mode + mini-games + puzzles. I’ve been wasting all my money on the zen gardens and wisdom tree…its pretty stupid, it tells you things you’ve already figured out by the time you ahve the money to spend on him (2.5k per hint bullshit). Only useful thing it told me was that multiple slow plants don’t stack…so one iced watermelon per row and I’ve capped my slow speed (Well sorta). I wish I had another 2 rows on top/bottom, there are some really good plants that you just don’t have the room to use, the golden magnetshroom would be so sexay in survival mode - but there just isn’t enough room for it. The marigold actually makes money, and with the imitator plant you can double the speed, but there isn’t ANY room for them.
Cattails are the fuggin truth. Homing thorns for the win.
- :bluu:
but I have an iPhone. And it could work on the DS. But I hear you guys. I’ll cop it tonight if it’s still $10 on steam.
I’m thinking of installing it on my touchscreen jukebox (DIY). It would play perfectly with a touchscreen I think.
Hmm short of Peggle most popcap games would.

Zen garden is godly. Once you have the main garden filled, all you have to do is keep them happy (glowing). This is the only mode of the game that doesn’t pause when you click on another window (play the game in windowed mode). So when you need to do other stuff, give the snail chocolate, and do nothing. You’ll get about $10k in an hour or so. Be sure to keep feeding the snail every hour.
All the water levels are a joke now thanks to doom-shrooms and cat tails.
I set up a garlic (with pumpkin) and then 2 doom shrooms right next to it on both sides of the pool from where the zombies enter. 6 cattails in the middle and its auto pilot.
I can’t decide if I need this game, or need to stay away from it. I just blazed through the demo, and the only thing holding me back is waiting for payday. I didn’t even realize how much time just passed by while playing. This game makes you think and cracks you up at the same time. Something you don’t always see. I mean Crazy Dave had me chuckling, and that stupid blank expression on the walnuts’ faces as they’re being eaten is priceless!
