Hey Guys there’s been a heat wave here. Making life difficult for pavement art.
Here’s the Rose pic. done for the world buskers festival done in 2 days. The glare from the pavement really washed out the colours so I fiddled with it in Photoshop to get the “true colours” for you. The shadow of the streetlight completely destroys the 3d effect though. I’ll try and take a pic of the slightly faded version when the sun isn’t so hard out:
Here’s a 4 day piece I did in Taupo, it was insanely hot the pavement was too hot to sit on! Also half the day the artwork was covered in a shadow making it tough to work. Still had fun though.
Worked alongside a pavement artist that taught me the skill 12 years ago! will post her work here to show you her amazing skills her site is www.ullart.com if you wanna see her amazing skills.
Cheers man, I’ve done like 60 of em on paper only 2 have reached the pavement
CHHHHHhhheeeeeaaaarss!
Thank’s man it was a real battle with the elements though, glad I did so much planning.
While in Taupo I had a ton of Duckie idea’s. It’s like the flood gates opened. Don’t want to get your hopes up too much but the Duckie thread might get Phoenix Downed if SF 4 doesn’t eat up all my time
Man that’s insane! I had to do a screengrab to show clients thanks for the heads up. I owe you a picture sometime :wgrin:
I’ve kind of posted this in the capcom boards too. Doing the rounds with this just to let off a bit of steam:
Did it all for a PS3 copy of the collectors edition of Street Fighter IV since I’m such a fan and don’t even know if I’m to going get my copy anymore since the promotion now as nothing to do with Red Ant/Gamewizz.
Gamewizz are being really nice about it and will mention me (hopefully) when they hand all the advertising over, so hopefully I’ll still get it. Also offering me a TE stick half price in April with the second batch (Still hold MadCatz license)
Still feel a bit gibbed though (even though it’s not anyones fault really) I pray THQ come to the party and my efforts weren’t for nothing.
I took a few snaps of the statue and used them as reference so it’s more of a still life study than a straight from the brain. Same with Star Platinum. But been mucking around with reference lately and has certainly helped with my coloring though.
