CPS3 on Mac

Hi, can anyone point me in the direction on getting cps3 emulation and a sega virtua stick running on mac os x, if such a thing even exists?

I just swapped from PC to Mac and looks like most versions of mame on mac are too outdated to run cps3 properly. Many thanks to all who help.

I’m using SDLMAME with Mame Tunes frontend. You’ll also need SDL runtime libraries.

http://mameosx.sourceforge.net/

I use MAME OSX. No problems. I also use my DC stick using the MayFlash 3-in-1 PC Joy Box. Again, no problems.

Does MAME OSX have the CPS3 emulator built into it?

yeah, it does

But I am guessing Marvel vs Capcom is Naomi huh?

MvC1 is CPS2 (which mame’s had for years), but MvC2 is naomi I think

nope, MvC works no problem, so does Marvel vs. Street fighter, MVC2 is still no dice, but that isnt a mac os x issue unless something has changed
EDIT: is there a naomi emulator around that will run MVC2??

Has anyone tried this on snow leopard? I just tried MAME OSX and it didnt recongnize any of the roms that MacMAME does (Ie. non-of my roms). or at this point they havent developed a 10.6.2 compatible version…?

nullDC runs fine through Wine. You can use either the Dreamcast or Naomi version of MvC2.

Go with Naomi if you can. Did a side by side against nullDC and the more recent aw/naomi emu and was blown back by the diffence in quality. Very crisp.

or just use sdlmame on mac; rbelmont’s always guaranteed to keep the base build updated (ignore the post date, he edits the topic), and r0ni’s precompiled binaries are just as updated (within a day or two of sdlmame’s update) AND the x64 version works on snow leopard.
