so i was talking about the cps3 carts to Queenie Tsang of Cosmicco.
McQueen: If I loss memory, I need to send back to supplier repair
McQueen: They charge us expensive.
Ix: oh, they can repair that? for how much?
Ix: does capcom do that themselves, or does some other company?
McQueen: Minium US$50 but each time not same
McQueen: I’m not sure how they make because we need to wait few days for repair.
Japanese boards and to Capcom-Japan only… As far as I know you can only get boards repaired through specialist arcade owners, it’ll be very hard to get one fixed through general public. Get in touch with Mr Megalo (?) I think he sent a batch out maybe half a year ago…
Dead security cartridges can be revived by Capcom Japan, who will unfortunately only deal with Japanese cartridges turned in by a Japanese arcade operator. Also I think the cartridges must still be factory sealed, if you’ve ever changed the battery yourself (or tried to) you’re screwed already. While Mr.Megalo did arrange a bulk repair some months ago after all middle-man and shipping fees total cost per cartridge ended up around $200 if I remember correctly and he’s already said he ain’t gonna do it again.
