Things like this always sorta come in streaks as people figure things out, it could take one year, it could take three, but it is nice to see that progress has been made.
Everyone who is complaining about lag is really jumping the gun. I mean sure people will play on the net, but this would mean more people would have access to Jojo and Warzard, and that you could play the CPS3 games anywhere you went that had a decent computer. Grab a laptop and a friend, and now I’ve got something to do for those boring hours between classes on campus, heh.
Though that comes from an old post of his, in april, it would seem he figured most of this stuff out in May.

- Let me get this straight:
- CPS 3 came out as a board in 94-96, right?
- Decryption for emulation has been cracked[ or not according to http://andreasnaive.blogspot.com/ ] now 2007…[ 1 decade or so later ]
- so actual roms won’t come til what, 2015? Also, it’ll take time to perfect it or get something playable.
- Capcom has already got SF III: 3rd Strike out on the PC, or planned to be out, as it is. I’d wait for them to get it out faster. Still, Warzard, and 2nd Impact are on my list

My God. Haven’t even read the article yet but I’m thrilled. Ugh, maybe I should actually read it. I’ll edit in my sad thoughts and emoticons later once I realize it’s untrue. Unless it’s real, then yay!
Edit: LOL damn, a lot less exciting than I thought. Still a lot more work to do before anyone is playing anything.

the roms have been dumped forever, they just couldnt figure out how to emulate them thanks to the encryption…now thats not a problem they can start working on emulation.

The ROMs have been available for ever. That wasnt the hard part. We actually may be playing fully emulated CPS-3 Games within the year.

Although this won’t NEARLY be as big as CPS2 being emulated (that was such a blessed say… *reminises like an R+B music video) this is a very cool step forward.
