CPS3 Broken!!!

Dont know if this can be asked here or not but can someone direct to a step by step how to run these emus. I have the roms and the Neb. emulator but cant seem to make them work, thanks

I have vista and 3rd strike runs slow as hell its all choppy and skippy  can someone help?

how much ram do you have and why are you still running vista? :frowning:

I got vista as a gift so I was like why not uise it,i was running XP prior to this and when I would rum 3rd strike it worked fine:confused:

ram: 1023 MB

note: im using MAME 117

probably a RAM issue, unless you’re running vista ultimate (i think it’s ultimate) you need at least 512 to just start windows, 1gig is recommended (for obvious reasons). try closing out as much stuff as possible before starting or just go back to XP.

well im just using windows vista home basic not ultimate:sweat:
i should just probably upgrade my ram or go back to XP (then the parents will be pissed)

Vista has steeper hardware requirements. Trying to game on it with a gig of memory usually won’t give good results.

What speed CPU do you have in that system? You have to ask yourself whether it is worth putting more money into it if it is already a pretty old computer.

vista has a lot of issues but i won’t get into them in a mame thread, might want to considering going back to xp.

I have a good CPU (i built this comp myself)
I have a AMD Atholon 64 3000 processor

I may just downgrade to xp for awhile then

That was a good CPU a couple of years ago.

damn.

MAME doesn’t have huge memory requirements, you only need to get a good processor.
I recommend you to close all background apps before you try to run the game.

yep I figured it out,I have to close my web browser and it works fine.

I have a mac… is there any hope for me?

There is hope for you if there is a PC under the Christmas tree.

MAME 0.122u7

As a mac user, I can safely say that MameOSX is working absolutely fine for all my CPS3 stuff.
