Countering Vanilla S Tier Dante

Seemed like the right place to start this thread. Dante is arguably one of the top three best in the meta right now, with incredibly difficult strings to punish, the ability to lock down an opponent countless times with million dollars for 4-5 free tag mix ups per use, and fast startup on many confirmable attacks, paired with generous range and cancelling. The confirm potential of “Ashes to Ashes - Dust to Dust” is also free, not to mention safe. Where do we get started with this guy, and what should be our game plan for shutting down his best tools?

First I’d like to analyze the main ways Dante gets in, and then talk about the most effective means of interrupting his pressure.

Honestly the main thing that comes to mind, ‘just’ rush him down. Same thing as MVC3 in that regard. His strength is mid-range, his close and far game are manageable.

When close his buttons aren’t that fast, he doesn’t have a SRK, a flight or a rapid jab. Reality stone kinda solves this though
