Could Jesus have been an alien?

Better than your most recent achievement: “cutting paper along a straight line.”

Enjoy that gold star sticker you got from that one.

Oh ZING! Boy, you got me there.

LOL this guy, thinking this thin veneer of sarcasm will mask the fact that you’re the dumbass Dan Quayle aspired to be.

And it took you 7 minutes to come up with this? Are you looking through a guide on how to engage in internet flamewars for your stock responses or something?

Tanner: Guy on internet said I’m still in kindergarten, what do I do? flips through guide “Use sarcasm.” Hmmmm… reaches for dictionary

Just sit this one out, Skeeter.

Oh look another religious thread where everyone likes to show they know more than the “otherside”.

Yawn.

Oh yea man. I really can’t come up with anything better or more original than telling someone they are in grade school 8 times. You’re right, you’re so out of my league, plus you have God on your side, no way I can win this.

A guide to Missing Person’s genius debate tactics.

 1. Try and insult someone but fail miserably by typing the opposite of what you mean
 2. Get mad.
 3. Tell the other person they are in grade school and quote Billy Madison
 4. ???
 5. Win argument.

Better than your flowchart for arguing online:

 1. Herp derp say the same shit everyone that makes fun of me says.
 2. Repeat step one as necessary.

This is pathetic. I’m actually going to go be productive, something you know shit about.

Aw, I’m going to miss your high level debating tactics where you recycle elementary jokes and quote movies.

This is like the third time somebody’s told Tanner that his “steal the shit people use on him while pretending he thought of it himself” strategy is painfully obvious. The third time I’ve seen, anyway.

As you can see, arguing with him is like arguing with the stubborn donkey from Family Guy. Put him on ignore, nominate him dumbest poster (which I see you’ve already done), and move on.

Jesus is an alien the same way Dr. B is Jesus. Yeah. Think about it.

Oh shit. Now all we need is Soviet (who according to Missing Person is “all of srk”) in here to complete the “I hate Tanner” circle jerk.

Since this topic is going NOWHERE FAST, I’mma hijack this shit.

Does anybody else here enjoy studying religions and mysticism from an academic standpoint? I took quite a few classes on religion in college, and I was really tempted to major in religious studies I was enjoying it so much. I personally love the balls-crazy esoteric/gnostic/kabbalistic shit out there.

Why are you a practicing Catholic? Bro, if you want a more modernized “sci fi” religion, check out scientology, you won’t be disappointed

if i were an alien with advanced super powers, i would’ve done a much better job trolling. none of jesus’ supposed miracles can be verified today. if i were an alien, i’d have been carving my name into the mountains themselves with pew pew laser beams. not just in israel, but all over the world. since you know, i’d have the power to teleport anywhere i wanted to. i wouldn’t have turned water into wine. i’d have turned it into a highly advanced math textbook printed on advanced alien paper that deteriorates very slowly, so people centuries later could verify my genius.

yeah pretty much.

yeah pretty much.

Whoops, I missed this post.

Yeah, got any good book recommendations? The last one I read was “A History of God” by Karen Armstrong. Its exactly what it sounds like. She outlines as best she can, in a few hundred pages, the concept of God as understood by different world religions and how that concept has evolved over the centuries. Incredibly insightful and fascinating.

In addition, I tried reading the Qu’ran but put that on hold for now, but do hope to finish it this year. Also reading a commentary on the Tao Te Ching. Religion definitely an interesting and important topic to study. Now I wish I had actually gotten a major in religious studies back when I went to school. Obviously, it would have been worthless as you can’t get a job with that shit, but the knowledge itself would have been enriching.

But their struggle will never be forgotten. NEVER.

I tried to read the Popol Vuh, but that got put on the backburner a couple of years ago when school started picking up.

I think I still have it around somewhere, it was pretty interesting

Atheism is merely a non belief in a God. It is not an objective statement at all, it just means that you do not have belief in the deity. It is not, actively, saying that God does not exist; there is no inherent truth statement within its framework. If you do not actively say that God exists, or believe in the proposition, you are an atheist. Sorry.

With regards to the original topic creator, there are many theories regarding such ideas. Jesus was an alien, Mohammad was an alien, etc… I don’t know what you can say. There’s a couple of good books on the subject though, that I encourage you to read. I have heard that, for instance, the “Nephilim” in the Bible may have referred to aliens, and other such things. Whether or not that is true, I’m not sure. The basic idea is much like the idea of Zeus coming down to have sex with Earth women though, and that similarity is worth noting.

As far as how much weight this all holds, probably not much. A lot of it is speculation.

HAHA. That shit made my day. He also has an “interview” with muhammed as well.

I was speaking of those athiests. The ones I know. Special pins, Darwin fish on their cars, etc. The people that love getting into religious debates with Christians.

Are all athiests like that? Of course not. Not all Christians protest funerals of openly gay people, either. Most people up here tend to be at the outer limits of either side of the spectrum. I realize they don’t necessarily represent the majority, and more than likely don’t.

Still, God hates f4gs people will be grouped with the rest of their flock in the eyes of many. And so too will super-athiests.

I’m not even gonna read this thread because I know where this is going. Closed.
