They didn’t change anything about the clipping though. The only thing they did was taking out the breast jiggle for Chun (and Laura and Mika, even though it was less noticeable for them).
I agree with your second paragraph and I’d like to add something I noticed recently. On the VS screen, some characters are way closer to the camera than others. It took me a while to notice but it’s something you can’t unsee. Laura and Vega for instance are very close while Necalli is rather far away. Looks really weird if those characters are on the VS screen at the same time.
I was talking about this exact thing with my friend!! The vs screen has way too much clutter, its starting to give me a headache. They need to fix that and zoom out a bit, and keep character size consistent.
Something about Guile’s model feels off. It’s like putting a Hot Wheels car among a group of Micro Machines. It’s not mere height, but the scale of his head, biceps and shoulders is above limits even accounting for Bengusian proportions. It is rather ugly to see him on matches at least, even characters like Bison who are supposed to look medium sized look as hobbits. Is hit hurtbox equally big? At least he screams “longer combos work on me”.
Dunno if this has been mentioned but how about fix the map in the background of the menus to reflect where we are in the world more accurately. .i think its cool how it keeps up with the time of day and when its day or night the ambiance reflects that…but im in TN not Norcal move the cursor over my actual IP… it’ll be night time IRL here but the “sun is still out” on the game cause PST…i was over my friends house tonight and noticed his was accurate. Maybe its my ISP?
This may not directly be related to gameplay, but exactly how does rage quitting work in SFV currently?
I know that a previous update took away massive points for the most prolific rage quitters, but what is considered a rage quit? During the match? Before the match starts where it shows the characters and LP of the players?
Also did CAPCOM specify the percentage of disconnects needed in order to be punished? There are several players that I seem to be matched up with consistently who rage quit (or disconnect possibly) at different times, so I’m not sure if they will be getting away with this clean or not
The black hideous outlines on characters in the backgrounds make those low quality models look even worse. Brazil is a good example of how ugly the game can look once you start paying attention to some of the background objects.
Also, opacitystencil=0 makes it so characters clip through each other. For example, Vega vs Cammy, if they’re next to each other his arm goes through her head. 1 looks much better.
Here’s a theory regarding the character models (Ken’s, to be specific). Although I don’t find this likely, if they do it, they need to fix the clipping issue, too.
Rashid’s face looks fine, dude is just happy AF because he is so much cooler than everyone else.
The biggest problem with SFV right now is that Chun doesn’t say Yup Yup Yup. If you made me choose between that and the input delay, I would have to flip a coin.
