Really Noel it’s impossible to tell if a t.v. will have input lag or not without running tests on it. It would be different if manufacturers would run tests themselves and put it on the label. Although as technology develops I imagine that late models t.v.'s will suffer less and less so that we will not need to test the display.
In short. If you don’t have a test to show the input lag for a t.v., do not buy it.

I think that the only tournaments that have been hosted in Corpus Christi lately have been at the Casual Gamer. They are always good about posting the info in this thread and on their Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/CasualGamerCC It looks like they might be working on a tournament for October, based on their Facebook posts. Hope this helps.
I think it may be BB, Arcana Hearts and Tekken 6. We won’t see AE and Umvc3 until probably later on but hopefully before 2011 is done.
I doubt anything you’d be interested in atm Jive. I think something might happen in October but there isn’t a date set and I think it would be more Poverty type games like BB, Arcana Hearts, Tekken 6. There was also talk of a MVC3 Tourney to be set before the release of UMVC3 and an MK9 maybe UMK3 (not sure on UMK3) sometime as well. The organizers just haven’t set any dates up as far as I know. I’ll keep you and the valley updated on anything that will be worthwhile.
At the moment Casual Gamer has some laggy setups too but I think they are working on fixing that. I can also bring in my low input lag setups. <16ms. If that happens though we might not get a 500+ facebook comment like the SA tourney did.
If your gonna be in the are though just hit me up on here or Hamm and Fishouse have my number if you need it if you want to get in some casuals in anything.

Only issue, is cost effective wise, it’s better to travel in a group. I’m one of 3 people in the RGV who would actually go to an event for Tekken. (Me, George, Fro) Fro claims he retired to become a full on SFIV player. :rolleyes:… right… and as for George, don’t know him on a personal level. I know he’ll play Tekken, but not sure if he’ll travel for it.

I’ve met once George before, he’s a cool dude. I’ll keep you posted when a date gets established or if any other information pops up. You can stay at my place if you want. It’s about 20-25 minutes from where it would probably be held at.
