Showdown is just next month a few weekends away why not save your money then come up to showdown lose your money to k-step and anyone else u want to then go home broke and happy.

I have a small section for TX Showdown then there is some extra cash.
Save or lose, I really donāt mind or care. Itās just that when money is invovled, itās more motavtion for someone to challange me
In the end, I just want to play some new/better people.

Honestly, what makes you think that your so good at GGXX#R that you would come on to SRK and start asking for money matches? If its just gamers den experience, I would just save your money and super size you next value meal cause money matches at TS5 are just a lost cause for you.
In all honesty I know that kstep is probably the best at GGXX#R in corpus, and a couple of GD guys that he said had some skill, but that dosent mean shit since corpus is nothing in games anymore. Go anywhere north of San Antonio and you will just get you ass handed to you. Im not trying to talk shit but, most of the people on here have been to tourneys and at least seen what real comp is all about and know where they stand skillwise.
If you want to throw your money away go for it cause that is exactly what you will be doing with money matches. My advice, calm down on droppin challenges and hook up with some GGXX#R fools and just get down on some games. You will learn more that way.

Shoryuken isnt the only boards I check it out when it comes to finding comp for a fighting game. The only reasons I joined Shoryuken.com late is 'cause of the bad rep shoryuken had (almost as bad as GFaq, and they were pertty much right). Shoryuken has been known for cocky shit talkers and itās shoryuken drama. Not to mention all the tier whores and 3S fanboys.
GD isnt the only place I played #R people at. The only reason you think that is 'cause I finally thought and said āWell, Iāll give shoryuken a try and ignore its bad rep by posting in itā when it looked like that was somewhat of a stupid move.

Pozerwolf: Just curious, but who are you? I see you posting here and on Gamecombos, but Iām pretty sure Iāve never heard of you competing in any of the previous Reload events held in Texas, at least not well enough to garner any attention. The Austin TGA Invitational top 4 were from Houston, Fubarduck and I think Jake from Houston tied for 5th. At the Houston #riot tournament, top 8 were all from Houston. At the November regional we held, the only reload players to enter that was even close to Corpus was Demon Jim from Harligen. Mike and Freddy have been to and competed in major national tournaments for lots of different games, including the GG series. Iād take their advice since youāre relatively new to the tournament scene from what I can tell. I mean your posts sound more like lashing out at your older brother or something. The reload players coming into town for Showdown will be undoubtly the best in the nation. Mike has long been considered the best all around player in Corpus, including the Guilty Gear series. But he doesnāt hold a candle up to the top GGXX players in Texas. If you really are planning to compete at Showdown, and do well, it would be wise to take their advice and stop with the money matches and just practice. If youāre looking for comp and money matches, you would be best served to save it up and challenge the top guys coming to Showdown instead of the guys you play everyday in Corpus. Its like comparing the chance to go one-on-one with T-mac or Kobe vs a game of 21 vs your dad. SRK is still the best site to goto in order to find comp for a variety of games, I surf them all, but even with its faults this is the best site to hit up. Just some friendly advice, stop lashing out and just think about what these guys are saying, granted Mike is an ass, but Iāve known him for about 4 years now, heās ALWAYS an ass! 
But Freddy is mad chill and knows his shit. Trust me, itāll help you out in the long run if youāre really planning on competing at a national level.

Also, some random people I knew from Corpus (damn, I donāt even know there names but I got a friend is in contact with them) wonāt play matches unless money in invovled. I thought I could draw attention here so I can get those guys (or other people) to play but I guess not :sad:
But then again, itās like you said it isnt wise to play the same people over and over. Being that Iām going to be competing at a national level I just wanted to see where I was at so I can actually stand a chance. Iām not going all the way to Houston just so I can lose, I got hopes for myself that I can make it far :tup:
Iāve played in random tournaments, but nothing bigā¦ at all (not counting the ones in my town). So yeah, overall Iām just worried on how Iām gonna do in TS5 being itās my first big tourny and all.
The only thing that got me in this argument was KrAzYsTeP. Of course, he was not mad 'cause people many people started posting in here. he was mad ācause āscrubsā where posting in here (aka Gamerās Den peoeple). Hey, that was only my 3rd time going by Gamerās Den and it was my 2nd time playing those people.

I post in the Corpus thread, a few months later I get a message saying the GD people got alot better and that some are up for a challange. I played them and there yaā go, results are posted on the Corpus thread.
Once results of me going to GD was posted here, KrAzYsTeP seemed offended and started calling me a scrub. Well, in a post on this page it is said that KrAzYsTeP himself went by GD. Well, I guess hes a scrub for going to such a āloserā place, right (obvious flame bait)? I mean, only scrubs play a GD :xeye: :xeye:

I really wonāt trust any internet people unless we meet at somewhat public place. Iām usually told to meet someone at somebodyās house to play them a few matches, but I just donāt trust them or they tell me to go very late (I got an asshole for a mom who wonāt let me drive at night :tdown:). And there are at times when people want to go by my house and challange me. I tell them to meet me at a big place and they keep refusing like if the only way they could challange me if they knew my address and shit. Pfft, like Iām gonna give anyone that kind of info when we donāt even know each other.
Seriously, In the end I just wanted a reason why all that shit was said.
