No. This is his biggest issue. In order to overhead you have to ether jump and attack while coming back down, or swing and attack. Unfortunately, both of these are easy to see coming.
got some questions hopefully someone can answer to help me understand task more.
question 1: what is task master’s best normal for air to air?
question 2: what is task masters best follow up on block crouchers who dont get up after spidey swing? S seems to be nice for normal sized characters but it seems to miss on smaller? is there another choice?
Question 3: Does task master have an instant over head for sent?
Question 4: Whats the best move to abuse in x-factor?
Question 5: S and H seem to almost have the same animation but one is faster than the other? What is the frame difference/start up on these moves? (on the bnb where he spider swings then relaunches with captains sheild to launcher i changed s to h and it seemed easier to follow the combo after that for some reason. Is it the hitbox or the start up that makes it different?
Question 6: is the slide m attack the best footsy tool to dash in on people standing? or is short the better move?
Thanks in advance.
Q5: H deals less damage, but it does take you down faster, so it could be easier on some characters with most timings.
Q3: I think so. j.H hits most standing characters, so it should hit crouching sentinel, and it can combo into j.S, then you can continue the combo on the ground if your timing is good.
Q4: Not sure about this one, I like to go for spider swing and then mixup between j.M once, twice, or land into low attacks. Or j.H.
Q2: see Q4.
IMO
- forward or back throw + hyper, J.M to combo, J.H to hit both high and low opponent and anything under can also cross up same with S both dont think it hit both high and low
- arrow
3 J.H or JS beware sent hyper armour - any combo into hyper i heard u can sheid skill into arrow continuously in x factor but very tight link managed to do it 3x

Against sentinel you can instant oh with M,H,S and then combo. Maybe against othes big hitbox characters.
You want to use j.H as your normal air-to-air. It is quick and covers a decent amount of space in front of Tasky. Make sure to input it as either up/forward+H or down/forward+H, so it will option select the forward air-throw if necessary.
The full instant overhead works against Sentinel, Hulk, Tron, and MODOK.
You can instant overhead Haggar and Iron Man (barely) with j. , but can only combo after with downward Aim Master or Legion Arrows.
Not sure if this has been discovered yet but I was messing around in training mode and this happened.
Not sure if it can be considered a glitch either.
As far as I can tell, Aim Master comes out in whatever direction you input it, regardless of which side you were on when you pressed the button or the direction he is facing. Someone didn’t seem to have accounted for that when they coded the momentum for canceling out of the ending frames of Spidey Swing. You wind up with momentum in whichever way you are firing instead. It also seems like it always fires towards your opponent during a Spidey Swing cancel, which is how you can wind up firing opposite of how you entered it. Seems like you could get some fake cross ups out of this with a down arrow, which you could cancel into Legion Arrows for some real damage. Actually, you could jump over them, Spidey Swing back towards the side you were on before, then shoot arrows that will wind up on their backside again.
Also, I’ve been messing around with TACs and DHCs and found that Taskmaster can’t do another Spidey Swing unless he personally touches the ground. If I do an air Spidey Swing, Legion Arrows, DHC, then TAC back into him later, he won’t be able to Spidey Swing when he comes in. Same if you do air Spidey Swing, TAC. Calling him out as an assist or for a Cross-Over Combination causes him to touch the ground again, though, which resets it.
Any tall character (Sent, Cap, Hulk, etc.):
j.:s:, [land] j., j.:h:, j.:s:
Will work as a combo starter.
So, I was messing around with swinging into Aim Master and I found out you can force someone out of the left corner (I couldn’t get it to work with the right) by doing a Spidey Swing over their head and then canceling the ending of it into 3-arrow downward Aim Master. Your arrows will still hit them from the right side, but you will fall down to their left. It’s also possible without Spidey Swing, but requires pixel-perfect positioning.

yay
Just a bit ago I was talking about a Taskmaster reset with Trish; got some footage of it now, and I’ve amended it to kind of pick up forward techs. Enjoy.

Wow. That is sexy. I almost kinda wish I played Trish now But I don’t!
Brought a tear to my eye cause it was so fucking beautiful.
Too bad I don’t use Dante.
But 2 out of 3 (Task and Trish!) ain’t bad!!!
Looks good, but if he would have mashed Light attack, then he probably would have hit your before your throw went off. I’ve tried a similar reset with task, and it was stuffed 100% of the time by the opponent mashing Light attack as they recover.
Nice match! Your Taskmaster is beastly. Gotta love how the announcer was hatin’ on him.
Had to turn off the volume for that video. Great to see Task getting out there though! Gotta try out those Trish tricks.
What an awesome Taskmaster, I have learnt a couple of tricks from it, thanks.
Could someone explain the unblockale followups to Sword master? Headbutt, low, etc? Can only get Headbutt to work.
Also do you guys use this move regularly?
