Is it a DP motion for aerial diagonal?
I don’t know actually. It just says (in air ok) next to Legion Arrow. I would say it might be like Akuma’s beam vs. fireball hypers where you hold the two attacks to get a certain version. Heck, maybe they changed it so that it doesn’t shoot horizontal anymore. Good question.
Elaborate.
So to get Akuma’s Beam hyper you have to hold the two attack buttons when you activate the attack instead of just a quick press. For the Fireball hyper you just need to tap the two attacks and it’ll come out and then you mash to get as many fireballs as possible (or so I’ve heard). This might be the same way the game differentiates between horizontal aerial Legion Arrow and downward aerial Legion Arrow. Possibly.
Any examples of what you can follow it up with on block?
New assists have been confirmed Here
A-Aim of Hawkeye (Horizontal)
B-Aim of Hawkeye (45 degree angle)
C-Aim of Hawkeye (Straight up then down)
Looks like all his assists are arrows, kinda lame.
Shame he doesn’t get Mighty Swing. C might be good against superjump air space.
A - for helping slower characters get in
B - for helping keepaway characters with air control (one of the best I’ve seen for this)
C - for hitting characters with frontal projectile screen abilities, like Hsien-Ko and MODOK
They’re all still good assists.
Also, does anyone think Doom’s missiles are slow enough that you could call him, use your arrow hyper, missiles hit as it ends, and then you can combo another one?
I don’t think they are THAT slow.
Slightly, especially since someone earlier claimed he had his overhead as an assist.
They still look pretty decent though.
His falling arrows could be an overhead and maybe they can do an OTG?
his assists are lackluster. beyond that, does the OP have all of his moves? i would think there’s more.
His assists look good but I must say I’m very disappointed in them all being arrow-shots. Oh well, the skull-faced bastard still has a place on my main team!
Agreed, besides it’s not like I’m gonna choose shield bash over arrows if it was an assist.
thanks for the look
Even though I had assists listed on the first post about a day (ish?) ago, I’ve added video links just incase.
Not feeling his orange alt at all. If it’s supposed to be Hobgoblin they could have at least added some blue or something. Looks like a bootleg action figure you’d find in Chinatown.
Agreed. It’s funny, because the Capcom blogs were so happy about not making BAD costume colors… but monochromatic colors are horrible. They should have at least added some additional accents or something, to keep him from looking like a Photoshop “fill color” error…
Anyway, chiming in on assist, It’s kind of nice that his assist all keep him pretty safe in the back, and they’re all multiple-fireball shots. They each look like they’ll stuff / imperil a certain type of approach pretty well, even the straight-up arrows will probably be good versus Super Jumps. The 3-at-a-time nature of the arrows will also possibly provide longer hitstun that some other assist, possibly making closing gaps, or certain dash-in combo extensions, easier.
The horrible looking orange alt actually isn’t based around Hobgoblin. Its a callback to a instance where Taskmaster was in the Frightful Four and was wearing such an ugly little number.
Frightful Four Test Team (former team of Deadpool)
Hopefully his final alt is the color scheme from his UDON costume, and not that red/purple mess of a costume, otherwise there won’t really be a good Taskmaster alt at all.
