If a man did this he likely would have been tazed, shot, beaten, permanently disfigured or any combination of the aforementioned - and the cop would have still been in the right. The woman could have stabbed the cop with a knife, screwdriver, or pulled a gun on him (this is the United States after all you goddamn idiot). If I was a cop, with a crowd surrounding me like that I would have tazed the fuck out of any person that laid a hand on me. The cop was more than generous. With a group like that surrounding the cop this could have easily escalated into a video showing a cop getting killed lynch style. You don’t have to be strong to grab a cop’s pistol out of his holster. You don’t have to be strong to pull a trigger. 2 girls with 4 arms have a better chance of grabbing this cop’s gun than this one cop restraining both of them at the same time. The cop wasn’t exactly Shzwarzenegger either.
Bottom line is, the law states: you DO NOT LAY YOUR HANDS ON A POLICE OFFICER. PERIOD. Doesn’t matter if you’re male, female, 16 or 96, white, black, green, orange. You don’t fucking do it. Ever. It’s a crime. She was committing a crime and the officer was within full rights to react the way he did.
If this story read, “Officer shot to death by 17 year old girl while attempting to restrain her friend” we’d all be saying “damn, shoulda knocked out/shot/tazed that first chick that was pushing him before the one got behind him and grabbed his gun.”
I don’t know about you, but I’d MUCH rather read about some girl breaking the law and got one punch in the face, leaving the scene with a bruise and a life lesson, compared to a cop shot dead/crippled and the teenage girl spending the rest of her life in prison. As is the girl probably won’t do any jail time, (community service at worst) and I doubt she’ll ever raise her hands to an officer of the law again.

I’m very liberal when it comes to cops using excessive force on people. That said, this cop was completely right in doing what he did. He should even be given a medal for showing restraint and not tasing that annoying bitch.
do you know how many ghetto blacks are in seattle? one of my friends who went to high school in the hood with me, nearly was murdered to death by a bunch of black dudes. they jumped him after school and beat his head in with a trash can, he would have died if security hadn’t come in time. in court when axed why they did so, they responded, “cause he looked at us funny”. another one of my friends was randomly punched in the face by a black dude, he had to get stitches.
