The cop punch the girl out of frustration/anger, at no point did i see him fearing for his life…Like i said before, the cop needs more training, probably have to work out more too. The cop escalated the situation to where it shouldn’t have & all this over jaywalking…Yall people stupid!

Well from that video you can clearly see he was doing just that. All the cop had to do is handcuff the bitch & it would have been end of it.
The cop started the entire confrontation over god damn jaywalking. JAYWALKING. A bullshit “crime” that’s just there so the city/county/state can increase it’s revenue. So pursuing someone and starting a physical confrontation over something so harmless is typical cop bullshit. you missed the part where in the news reports they say this is a problem cross-walk that they have been asked to clean up. other posters in this thread gave the impression that the police department was asked by the school to stop the jaywalking. so this officer didn’t exactly have a choice to write the citations or not, he gets ordered by his superiors to go out there and write jaywalking citations. the only person really making choices to escalate that shit is the dumb ass chick thinking she is above the law.
I’m not a huge fan of cops (the ones around here anyway), but I don’t see anything wrong with what the cop here did. Like someone said before, he needs to work on his take down skills and take control of the situation better.
Oh and big props to the rest of the bystanders for not getting involved and turning this thing into one big ‘nigga moment’
