The school nearby asked for policemen to look into the non-stop jaywalking there. So I’m guessing this isn’t his only ticket for jaywalking he wrote, and I’m sure we would know (or will shortly) if all his tickets were written to non-whites.
pretty much every time i’ve seen cops subdue a man they throw that ass on the ground and put the cuffs on. i don’t really see how throwing a punch is excessive force, pretty much anything he did short of shooting her would’ve been fine imo. if he cracked her in the ribs with nightstick, pepper-sprayed, tazed or really anything else that put her on the ground i’d have been fine with it.
that’s a pretty baseless statement to make considering the crowd could’ve just as easily been all over after he punched the girl and wrestled with her, but instead they were backing off saying, “take it easy, boss.”

Have you ever tried to cuff someone, much less hold two wrists together of a person that has lost their temper/gone batshit? You are going to have to use SOME kind of physical force since they are not just going to stand there and take it (unless you have a weapon or are physically mad intimidating…even then I’ve seen women go crazy on huge bouncers). A lot of posters are doing the same goddamn statements that are easier said than done. What was displayed was wack, there is no argument there from me. Only thing I could think of is to sweep her leg, get her to the ground and cuff her ASSUMING her friend doesn’t go crazy as well. Even if that went smooth I’ll bet people would be outraged from some typical news spice like the officer slammed the girl into the pavement.

The real tragedy here is that cops are patrolling for jaywalkers when they could be doing something more productive, like being off duty.
I have actually driven down this street hundreds of times, and yes jaywalking is a problem. Many times I have had to run into these silly minorities getting in my way. I can’t really get out of my car to beat the shit out of them either since it is a very busy street.
