Cooperation Cup 2009 Ranking Battle

It probably was Yuki Otoko (according to Buriki One’s last post). I’m sure CoopCup this year was at its apex - wanna get DVD so much!!!

damn it sucks there isnt a proper translator out there for these kinds of things, does anyone know of a good translator or something
it would rly be interesting to see what these top players have on there mind about the tournaments they enter

i wonder how many other players have a blog…i know mago, ino, and some others have one hmmm

Pino had a blog, and I think RX, Fujiwara or Sugiyama had one. Not to sound like a mobster, but “I cannot recall”.

Since you’re such an avid follower of Japanese players, why don’t you just start learning Japanese? At least learn some Katakana so you can identify a large chunk of the players.

Is that Takayuki the Marvel player? I’m wondering because I recall hearing something about Justin playing Kuroda’s friend in Marvel during his visit to SBO3.

Yes it is Takayuki the Marvel player. Kuroda taught him 3s and he has a really good Chun-Li.

apparently my comp doesnt show the symbols

it just shows like a square lookin thingy with small numbers in it (seriously)
and i am able to identify most players from videos but then again i asked for a translator for a reason

You gotta add that function.

This will help your computer to display Japanese characters:

If you have a different Windows OS, it should be pretty similar.

More simple, but computer will just be able to display kata/hira -gana:

take one font (unzipped) and put it in your “windows/fonts” or “winnt/fonts” folder…
That’s all.

knowing hiragana/katakana won’t help you actually read people’s blogs. at most you’ll be able to recognise some player’s names.
I’ve spent the last half hour trying to read momochi’s blog, he uses a lot of non literal meaning and abbreviations you won’t get taught on a japanese course.

Quite random and maybe old, but here’s a report about Coop. Cup:
