Cooperation Cup 2009 Ranking Battle

Nice one Holland

sick teams!

Shend would you know if theyre coming out with videos from this tournament??

Sickest tournament I`ve ever participated…
So many big names so many sick moments…
Anyway Matsuda-san said the dvd will be coming out so you should wait for that one.
Trust me, its worth buying it.

ok
fixed a couple things / names in my previous post .
i urge everyone to chime in / help .
i mean , i’m sure there are many people on the boards with a good grasp of the exotic language…don’t be shy

i will definitely buy this when in japan next month (when is it coming out btw ?)
don’t want to make the mistake i made with babanpaku…
anyway - please tell us more about the tournament ?
what about namijin or pino for example ? were they in good form ?
and, lastly, wtf is up with the name of your team
i could only translate “holland” and that was that :clapdos:

See EDIT part.

thank you !
well,a couple of really lame errors with katakana / hiragana on my part
that’s what you get for doing these things at 2 am i guess

??? . well that’s “magitan” .
something III-related maybe ?

No problem, man. You did a lot more work then I have. My bad on “magitan.” Akahori Gundan was right after it and I had that on my mind when editing.

I tink it’s the name of an arcade (“Majitan”). Lot of these teamnames are hard to translate, I tried it with last years Tougeki teams and eventually gave up.

You are right. Yakkun is even sicker.

First prize of this tournament gets you to SBO final. Wonder who will get it.

???
???'09 FINAL ???

OOOOOHHHHHH get outta here

wait wait wait an explanation is MANDATORY for that one

does a team get qualified into SBO or something plus wouldnt a team have to have 3 players? and my god what happens if someone whos qualified already wins again lol

Wouldn’t be just an exhibition match rather than a 2nd Grand Final?

ok

i went through that damn list again
added what azure dragon said and fixed many other errors i had made
altered / fixed a couple names from this list

it’s like 90 % complete so “finishing touches” would be very welcome…

We dont know when the DVD will be coming out, but best is to stop by gamenewton, thats the arcade Matsuda owns if im right, you could always try Versus Arcade in Nishin-Nippori, Game Inn Sakura moved and it became Versus (thats where the tourney was held)

Sorry, i cant remember any matches from Namijin, But I did see Pino, he was pretty beastly but that doesnt say anything, EVERYONE was beastly, it was so sick… Pino was in a team together with Mimora, a Makoto-player and he did some pretty sick shit, just butchering Tackle Maeda for example

Our teamname is ‘Mashitas from Oranda’ Ichi came up with that and it means the Masters from Holland haha… My real name is Bruno but as a true japanese guy he spelled it as BLuno haha

We got through the poules as first, placing ourselves right away in the final 16 teams bracket, all thanks to our teammates Ichi, a solid Ken-player, Nigukyuu, a Yang who has been playing since SF3 came out (you even see DC matches online from him on YT) and !!!Xiao!!!, a purple Ibuki-player, he was in J’s team in SBO2, he is great, he even defeated Mester in the poules, he was amazing!

In the final bracket you had 4 seeded teams, and the remaining 12 had to pick a card with a number, and you could choose where you want to be on the bracket, it makes it so much more fun, Kokujin went all out shaking his sumo-like belly while he chose to go against KO’s team haha, it was great. we had number 11 so we could only choose between two spots left… and that was between Boss’s team and Nuki’s team… and Boss was Makoto, and had 3 chuns and 1 yun, no shame! so we chose for Nuki’s team

We had to go against Nukis team, that was a bitch, me and AQH lost to Akahori’s Hugo with only a xouple of pixels left for him, but he is amazing, our other Ken-player Ichi won from him, but then the rest of our team got slaughtered by Aiku’s Dudley

Boss’s team got mainly killed by a green Urien player, Rikimaru won from him but then Urien’s teammate came I thought it was something like Choutarou, can I be right?

RX’s team didnt get through the poules, but there’s a lucky draw for the actual ‘final’ bracket and that was his team! Yakkun was destroying his team but RX made such a great comeback, parrying and what not into a midscreen unblockable, but he missed his charge-partition headbutt and a fireball came out (yes even RX misses :), and that was the end for RX’s team

Yakkun was hella sick, alot of runaway but even his runaway was with the precision of a surgeon… Tetsugoshi’s Q was amazing through all of the tourney, but his teammate Hiroemon (sp?), Ken, was SICK, he even OCV’d KO’s team if im right

Later on everyone went freeplaying downstairs, I just managed to win 6-7 matches or so (at least a couple were to Koshun, yey) and it was really fun, everyone was picking secondary chars and still going beastmode… Yakkun’s yun did kick KO’s yang alot of times (yakkun eventually had a streak of 25+ going on, and thats hard between all those good players)

All and all, it was a great atmosphere, everybody yelling and going ey ey ey, and later on casuals was even more fun with people taunting eachother, ‘Shimata’ and ‘Ora Ora’ screaming here and there, something you all should have seen once in your life!

That’s the point.

He always does.

That must be Chakotarou.

Great write up Doom, it sounded like you men had a pretty amazing time of it

I want to go

I just hope RX is at 100% for SBO.

Cause I want Messatsu’s victory over him to be that much sweeter.

Thanks for the report, sounds amazing!

For those who speak Japanese, Momochi also talked about the tournament on his blog: http://momo3rd.exblog.jp/. Seems like Kuroda also participated, he wasn’t listed on the Cooperations Cup Site though. According to Momochi, his team was: Kuroda (HU), Morikawa (YU?), Takayuki (CH?), Vanao (RY) & Pierre (UR?). Yuki Otoko took out everyone but Pierre, who got finished by Uraken.

well,what they said :
thanks for your report,doom

guess i’ll add kuroda’s team to the list then…

Yea, alot of teams signed up at the day itself, as did kuroda’s team and mester’s team… and i didnt see the matches from kuroda’s team, but from all the AHHH’s en OHHH’s i heard and i watched the big screen then, i saw a gouki doing shungokusatsu’s everywhere, im guessing that was uraken’s doing versus kuroda’s team
