Converter Compatibility Thread

Found the problem, when the converter was shipped, it was damaged without a doubt. The problem is, the wire connecting to the top was either pulled to hard, possibly because of the way it was wrapped and handled during shipping. After messing around with it for a couple of minutes, I noticed that when I pulled the wired towards the back, the controller would start working. I had a friend pull it while I tried to confirm whether the controller would work fully and it did. So my hunch was correct and these converters are compatible with the slim 360s, 100%. Hopefully eTokki will either send me a new one or reimburse me, I’d rather have a new one tho.

Just waiting for an email from them now…

When I use mine I start with everything hooked up before turning on the console, then if it isn’t working, I just unplug the pad/stick(leave converter in console) then I just reattach it, if that doesn’t work then it’s probably broken.

So I’m guessing no one has ever used/seen the ps2>ps3 converter I referenced in my last post?

ya, I tried everything and it wasn’t working. That was the problem, for sure, because the wire connecting to the top is pretty loose. I know for a fact, the way it was wired didn’t help during the shipping. The wire was more than likely damaged due to poor handling and idk about anyone else, but did you get it in a blue plastic bag? That’s how I got mine, I knew the thing wasn’t going to work as soon as I seen it in that.

Just waiting now… God, I wish that thing worked perfectly. When I actually got it to work, there was no delay or dropped inputs. If this thing was damaged, it would be flawless.

I really want to get the Hori fighting commander 3 pro, but I mainly game on 360. Does anyone know if this

http://superufo.com/product_html/Xbox_1___360_xBox360_Controller_converter_PRO.html

will let me use it on 360 without any problems? It was recommended on the OP for using it for ps3->360 conversion but i cant find anywhere stating it will work specifically with the fighting commander 3 pro.

this works spendid. I used this for other 2yrs now and actually it just died on me so I have to re up on this. No lag or anything and its easy to use its just bulky as hell

I’ve heard the converter works well, I’m just curious if it will work with the hori fighting commander 3 pro specifically. Ive heard sometimes specific controllers and converters don’t like each other and I want to make sure this wont happen with me.

This thread is awesome. But I am left wondering if there are any good, lagless, non-disconnecting adapter (or some way I can use for an Xbox 360 pad). Really curious mainly because I plan on going to Evo this year and don’t really like the feel of a ps3 pad. If anything I may be forced to just get comfortable with it, but if there is a good adapter that doesnt disconnect and is lagfree then I would love to know about it.

Sorry to say, but unless something drastically has changed since the last time I’ve looked around, there are still no reliable Xbox 360 to PlayStation 3 adapters. While you can’t use an official Xbox 360 gamepad, you may want to check out Mad Catz’s MLG Pro Circuit controller. That may be your best solution because then you can customize it the way you want.

You are awesome! Thanks a bunch!

So my controller converter pro just died on me sadly, after a good year or two of working pretty reliably.

So now I need to find something else that will do a PS3 pad to 360, although I don’t know what’s good right now. Does anyone have some recommendations?

This is all I’ve found so far:

So how long does it take approx for the etokki ps2/ps3 to xbox converter to arrive to the US?

Does anyone know of any good N64->GC or better yet N64->Wii remote converters? I found this oneon Amazon but reviews say it’s laggy and has the L and Z buttons swapped, which is just out of the question for Sin and Punishment(which is what I want it for). Google searches yield nothing but GC->N64 converters.

I just want to confirm that the xtokki Converter is indeed compatible with the Multi-Console Cthulhu. follow these easy steps:

  1. Plug in xtokki to 360
  2. let player LED settle
  3. Plug in MCC w/ PSx cable
  4. Enjoy!

TvC stick +MCC+Xtokki = GoooooooD Times

I’m thinking about getting an Xtokki ps1/ps2 to Xbox 360 converter, but i’m seeing rather mixed reviews on it. So I ask you, fellow SRK members, should I risk it and order it now?

Issues ppl tend to have are either using pads that aren’t 100% compatible, or there is the occasion of receiving an xtokki that may be damaged during shipping. If you experience any issues, Laugh is usually happy to exchange it. Otherwise, its a great converter for the 360.

I may sound like an idiot for asking this, but would there be a list of pads/sticks that aren’t compatible? I just want to make sure my HPS-10, Real Arcade PS would work with it.

1st post? lesser known pads/sticks may not be on there though.

I love it when my mind decides to skip reading only the stuff i’m actually looking for. It says Fighting Stick PS, so I assume that includes my stick with the weird corners

Somebody have an idea if this converter is lagless? http://www.ebay.de/itm/USB-Player-Converter-For-PS2-PS3-Xbox360-PC-/280643962663?pt=UK_Video_Games_Cables_and_Adaptors&hash=item4157af0727
