Does anybody know if these are any good? Sorry don’t want to read through 45 pages on search wasn’t helping me. And if the second link supports standard classic controller too?

Need advice on what PS2 to 360 converters are the best.

So far I’ve come across these two:

Oh and yes this converter worked like a dream for TVC.

Is there a way of telling if a converter has lag?Because I wouldn’t know what to look out for it did, unless it was like 1 second input lag.

they are both the same adapter just with a different shell. it is good however u can only use 1, seriously save a headache and get an x360 converter. if u would just read the page before this i just brought up this topic about those 2 specific adapters

If there is such a thing. I couldn’t find one when I went hunting. I ended up wiring my stick up using a busted up NES dogbone controller. It’s a project box stick which is the way to go if you don’t want a dedicated NES stick. It looks like Toodles also added NES/SNES support to the Cthulhu.

i googled and searched for this too. seems that it has been long gone. there used to be tons of bootleg 15 pin fami clones in san francisco chinatown, but no replacement controllers. you could just buy the adapter supplied in chinatown and get a genuine nes controller. looks like you have to make one now.

Wouldn’t that be a Famicom male to NES female cable? You would need Famicom female to NES male for this to work. I honestly think the best option would be to get a PS2 to Super Famicom converter and make a SNES to NES cable. There’s a video on YouTube that showed how to swap the SNES connector for a NES one. I don’t think it would be hard. I just couldn’t find enough solid info to do it myself. I just ended up going the lazy way and soldering a pad.

Another option I didn’t explore was to buy a Retro Duo system which uses a SNES controller port for both NES and SNES. I was going to do this until I noticed that people kept commenting that the video output was poor.

I’m sure given enough motivation I could get it going.

So are there ANY readily available PS2-PS3 converters that aren’t incompatible with digital PCB’s and aren’t the InPin? The only one that is in stock anywhere is the Dragonplus, and I rather not buy a converter that is notorious for dropping multiple inputs.

there are a lot of pelican ones on ebay right now for 22 bucks http://cgi.ebay.com/Pelican-PS2-to-PS3-Controller-Adapter_W0QQitemZ130363274113QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item1e5a41b381

So I got my Classic Linker Plus PS2 to GC/Wii adapter yesterday and tried it out with a HRAP2. I don’t have a 60fps camera, so I had to do it the old fashioned way of just going off my own judgement, but it seemed to respond quickly. I played through the game once and everything felt fine. Then I went to training mode and pressed single inputs with no distractions. I did my best to pay attention so I could notice any input lag, but I couldn’t perceive any lag at all. Hardly scientific, but from what I’ve seen, it’s the only input we have on these adapters so far.

These are made by EMS, which is the same company that did the Magic Path 2.

Anybody who wants to post, “Do a real test or don’t post at all!” I don’t have a way to do a real test with numbers, and nobody I’ve seen has posted any feedback on these so this will have to do until we get something better.

I’ll post again tomorrow after I try out a classic controller.

Hey hacksparrow, real quick I wanted to say thanks for the link! I snagged one yesterday!

i bought a ps2 to pc adapter from radioshack years ago. will that work on the ps3 with no lag?? im still looking for it somewhere around my house, lol.

I tried the Super Smart Joy SNES to USB

It worked with my nepfew’s PS3 last year, now it doesn’t…I think the firmware upgrade messed it up

After using a friend’s stick for the last couple days I’ve decided I want to buy a stick for BlazBlue and I am trying to get as much information as I can. I primarily would be using the stick on the PC and 360 although i would like PS3 compatibility if I ever need it. From the first post I don’t see anything that can accomplish this right off hand.

This would be the first fight stick I have ever purchased and a couple people have been pointing to

But now I am realizing (I think) I might need to buy a PS2 stick and buy multiple converters, but I’m wondering if this really is the best option. I just don’t want to pay $140 and not be able to use it for 360, PS3 and PC. My friend’s stick uses square gate with sanwa buttons (which I like) if that helps any. Any recommendations or information would help, Thanks!

@ Nope, this is the converter compatibility thread.

PC/360/PS3 all-in-one stick is only available afaik from the Paewang Revolution arcade stick (check http://www.etokki.com) any other 360 or PS3 stick will require modding to work on the other system.

If you’re not much for modding, getting a PS2 stick and a PS2 -> PS3 & PS2 -> 360 converter is your best bet. (the two best converters are also available on the website mentioned above).

Can anyone with a TvC fightstick confirm if this works on the PC?

Can that work on the PS3??

So are there any ps2 controllers that the Blazepro or Xconverter adapters do not work with? I just found these on Amazon:

But i don’t remember Sony ever making their own wireless controllers. AFAIK, the Wavebird for GC was the only official wireless controller for that generation. So, given that this is a “knock off” is it possible that some controllers don’t work with the Blazepro or Xconverter? Or would anything work and I’m safe buying that wireless controller?

those katana’s work i tried it. but do not buy the blaze for the love of god. DO NOT BUY THE BLAZE!!! go with the joytron. they both work with that katana wireless. two blazes wont work and the point of a fighting game is to play with another person.

well, i was originally only planning on buying one blazepro anyway, but now that you mentioned playing 2-player, you really can’t use two blazepros? even with two different 360 controllers for each blazepro to piggy back on? I was trying to refrain from getting the xconverter, but it’s ~$25 on ebay, whereas the blazepro is ~$5. i don’t really want to pay the cost of another game (25 + the wireless controller) just for the two games i’m going to use it for (SSFIV and Tekken 6). I heard that both the blazepro and xconverter work equally as well, so i mean naturally i would go for the cheaper one. But now that you mentioned that… damn.
