Converter Compatibility Thread

dragonplus

I have a tekken 5 stick

i have a dragonplus converter and when i play 3s on pc and qcf x2 motions don’t come out right he would just do a forward fierce and i tried sf4 on pc and when i do a hadouken he would do a shoryu instead

Does anyone know if these are the actual sumoto converters? The picture is very misleading and yet it says it’s by sumoto

I can’t find any sumotos anywhere else (even on ebay) and this is probably my best bet (unless it’s not real).

Nope, you will need to either replace the innards with a 360 controller guts or dual mod it to work on both PS2 and 360. Akuma001 can do the latter if you hit him up in the Trading Outlet.

I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure this is what they look like. Someone else is welcome to chime in:

Do you know any other place where I could get a hold of those? I swear I looked everywhere and can’t find one who sells them.

Stick: ASCII Stick3 / DS2
Source/destination system: PS1/PS2 to PS3 60go (last firmware)
Converter: sumoto
Results: PS3 freeze

yeah sumtos suck. the lag is like sf4 online on a 3 bar connection.

Does anyone know of a good Dreamcast to PS2 stick?

Don t know, the system freeze when you plug the sumoto converter.

PS3 Pal 60go + last firmware + sumoto = don’t work = freeze

Sumoto (Compatible with 2.8) = false

Please correct first post, thx

I have the latest firmware on my 60GB and the Sumoto works fine.

Pal launch 60Go ?

North American 60GB.

As best I know the only Dreamcast to anything converters are USB. That won’t help you much with PS2 compatibility. You will need to swap the PCB with a PS1 controller’s guts.

Oh, thanks. I was planning on having to do that anyway.

Well I bought the adapter from my link and they were the actual sumotos. I tried them out and they are pretty much lag less unlike what MadWak said. It froze the first time i tried them but it was actually because I didn’t update my firmware to 2.8. Overall I say these are pretty damn good and only $6.99. There seems to be one left so hurry and get em!

My dragonplus works perfectly for my Tekken 5 stick. So i can clarify that it’s compatible. And also doesn’t lag either on PC or PS3. Very awesome

You should try the TAC adapter see if that works properly.

Of the two PS2 > Dreamcast converters, which would be compatible with a MC Cthulhu & Namco PS1 (if any, that is)?

Awesome! Definitely keep us posted.

not sure i completely understand but i have an innovation and a total control converters and they both work fine with my namcos

God damn, Korea’s done it again! laugh, I can’t wait to see this new product that the Korean market is churning out! The inPin converter proved to be really damn good so I hope this one is just as fine. Keep us posted! And let’s hope this proves not to disappoint like the XCM converters and the Max Shooter has.

Also, regarding the Innovation converter, are those two LEDs on the top of the converter supposed to be perpetually on when the Dreamcast is turned on or is one supposed to light up when a PlayStation controller is plugged in and the other when a Sega Saturn controller is plugged in? For that matter, can you use a PSX and a Saturn pad at the same time or do their inputs overlap each other?
