I have a Tekken 5 PCB and a GameCube, but not many converters since I don’t really play GameCube/Wii games. My Game Elements did not work with the Tekken 5 on the GameCube. I’d get the Cube Joybox Pro. It’s made by Mayflash who makes great converters and it supports the entire HRAP series. I’d be surprised if it didn’t work with the Tekken 5.
THey should stickey this thread
Has anyone had any luck with Xbox -> Xbox360 adapters?
Hey Kyle, I was also wondering do you know if the Cube Joybox Pro works with the Ps1 DS controllers?
and if it doesn’t or you are unsure, is this the game elements adapter you were talking about?

Just recieved my SFAC stick in the main today! i opened it up and its a 3.5v yellow pcb.
Do the InPin’s work with this? it has a (?) by it in the OP. Or should i just hunt down a Pelican?
Sounds good, thanks man :wgrin:
Dream Connection 2 by Innovation (original URL, sold out): These as reportedly the best converters but are expensive and hard to come by. The SFAC Pad isn’t recommended because it treats L1 and R1 (the HP/HK buttons) as the same button.
Compatible with: PS2 DS, PS1 DS, PS1 Digital, SFAC 3.5V, SFAC Pad, HRAP 2/SA, Tekken 5, Pelican PS2
Incompatible with: SFAC 8V
I just got one of these today. It also works with:
Saturn model 1 pad (the big crappy one)
Saturn model 2 pad (the good one)
Saturn Virtua Stick
Also, when used with the PS2 Saturn pad, it treats L1/R1 as the same button (just like the SFAC pad).
anyone know if i can use a ps1 namco guncon light gun on a dc converter (dream connection 2)?
There isn’t one unfortunately. I wish they would have made one.
Not sure. I would think it would because it’s made by Mayflash. When I have some cash I’ll pick one of these up for testing. It seems to be the most popular PS-GC/Wii converter. And yeah, that’s the Game Elements.
I’ll go out on a limb and say unlikely. I’ve only got a Guncon 2 to test though and it requires that wacky passthrough video cable.
i forgot about the vga cable adapter thingie.
wonder if a saturn light gun would work, i’ll test it within a few weeks. i know i have the orange one in a box somewhere.
edit-
ps1 ds controller (i have an “A” and a “H”) works pretty damn well with the cube joybox pro. i use it for smash bros melee. also my ps1 digital (“A”) works ok, but a lot of games require analog so it’s pretty much pointless.
Yeah, the Saturn gun seems to use simpler tech from what I remember of it.
Thanks for the JoyBox report. I’ll update the OP with it.
Type of stick: Namco PS1, PS1 DS, PS2 DS
Source/destination system: PS1 to USB (PC)
Converter with link to place of purchase: Inpin purchased from Laugh (SRK)
Results: I’ve been using it with Xpadder on various games/emulators and it works flawlessly so far.
Type of stick: Namco PS1, PS1 DS, PS2 DS
Source/destination system: PS1 to GC/Wii
Converter with link to place of purchase: Cube Joybox Pro purchased from Play Asia
Results: PS1/PS2 DSs work excellent with GC/Wii games that allow GC controllers i’ve tried. the Namco PS1 stick on the other hand works flawlessly but has it’s limitations. Super Smash Bros Melee requires analog, and a lot of games don’t use “Z” (like Super Street Fighter II) so R1 is useless. otherwise i love this converter.
I have a Street Fighter II 15th anniversary gamepad. Is it likely to work with the Hais?
I can confirm that the GP mode of the TAC adapter instantly freezes the PS3 in GP mode after firmware 2.70
And even after multiple e-mails TAC support doesn’t answer me >_<
(thank God it still works for Guitar Hero and Rock Band)
Uhm… seeing how many people get screwed over (and over and over again) with PS3 problems by Sony support, I think they couldn’t care less about PS2-PS3 adapters freezing machines. That’s just my 2 cents
I’m not familiair with all the abbreviations you use here yet (I’m a newbie, hi! :lovin:), but does the “SFAC pad” part answer my earlier question?
Yep, that’s the same controller you’re referring to. Get the HAIS. Everyone seems to like it.
Has anyone used an SFAC controller with a GC adapter? The Wii doesn’t have a good controller for fighting games yet, and it’s the first Nintendo system in awhile to have a fair amount of 2d fighting games.
Bump, just want to bring this back to page 1.
just got hrap 2 sa now i only need to pick some adapter and put it in some use
Just tried it with the Game Elements and it did not work. I really need to pick up a Cube JoyBox Pro for testing.
i have an unopened cube joybox pro i’ll work something out with you if you want. i really don’t need a second.
edit- or maybe not. looks like my wife may have sold it on ebay already (not on the table). i’ll ask her tonight
