Thanks guys!
That’s a great deal, I’ve been mulling picking one of these up for a long time as I’ve got 2 customs but still end up playing on the 360 with a stock EX2, and nearly took the plunge today but I think I’ll put it off a little while longer and wait for your write-up.
Yeah, I expect it to work well enough with first party Sony controllers from everything I’ve read. I’ll throw what I have at it and see how it goes. I’ve also been delaying the purchase because my sticks already modded for the 360. My girl is convinced the PS2 controller is gods gifts to man so it may just end up being for her.
I have VF5 but I don’t really play it. I ought to pester MarkMan for a ridiculously hard combo and see if I can pull it off. I can definitely perceive lag.
Kyle,
I have bad news to report for HAIS adapter with Pelican Real Arcade Universal PCB. HAIS adapter LAAAAGGGGGed like mad when I hook it up to my Pelican Universal. I have never seen lags this bad before. I am talking about 500ms (1/2 second) lag. I am so disappointed. My search for an adapter for Pelican Universal continues…(Sumoto was so perfect, Sony I F*CKING Hate you for 2.70).
Gah, that sucks, especially since everyone has been recommending the HAIS in place of the Sumoto. I’d try the InPin next if you have any more money to throw at this. :wasted:
I have another adapter I bought off Ebay. It looks like this:
I have tested this with my Pelican Universal, again, it lagged like hell, though not as bad as the HAIS but still very poor.
Sigh…More adapters to test…
I hate to ask this and will probably be laughed at but Im using the SF Anniversary stick and would like to connect it to the 360. Whats the best option to do so?
Do a pad hack or get someone to do it for you there is a expensive adapter for ps2 to 360 but lags for $80+ and yes your question is dumb and you really need to look over the forum before posting you would get you answer just as fast
Give me another week and I’ll get you an answer. I’ve got this guy on the way which has a PS2 port. I’m also getting another SFAC next week so I’ll have a 3.5V and 8V to test on it.
bad news, seems like my MAS stick does not like the Game Elements converter for 3rd strike. It will randomly stick for directions and won’t return to neutral when I let the joystick go. Works fine for CvS2 or MvC2. I’ll test it with my HRAP2 when it comes in to see if my converter is faulty, but I’m thinking it’s 3rd strike itself. =(
Hey Guys just wanted to say that I ordered 3 inpins from Laugh last week or so. Got them today and they are working great!
Thanks kyle for the link and thanks Laugh for the order!
Just to clarify, is this 3rd strike on the Xbox via the Anniversary Collection? I can try testing it out if so.
Yup. Haven’t tested it out with any other controllers, I’m thinking the MAS stick just doesn’t like the game.
kyle- do you have a ps1 controller (non-ds) or namco stick (what i’m more concerned about) that you can test on the mayflash when you get it? i’m probably going to pick one up anyway for mouse/kb cod action, but if the namco works it will seal the deal.
thanks!
I’ve got a non-dual shock controller. I don’t have a Namco stick but I wouldn’t mind picking one up since they’re usually about $50. I haven’t been spending much lately. I did buy an 8V SFAC stick that will get tested along with my 3.5V. If I see a cheap Namco I’ll try and get it. I wish I still had my HRAP 2 for testing as well. Someone in the other converter thread said he would test that.
I’m expecting the Max Shooter today or tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn’t take any longer than that.
This is amazing!! I hit the JACKPOT!!! Got my pelican adapters today, check this auction out to see how much I paid for both of them http://cgi.ebay.com/Set-of-Two-2-Pelican-PS2-PS3-Controller-Adapters_W0QQitemZ200337163467QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item2ea50684cb&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A13|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 I just tested them out and they work flawlessly with both my T5 and SFAC sticks, no wonder people consider the pelican adapter the undisputed king of PS2 to PS3 adapters.

I LOL’d hard at the buy it now price. That’s awesome man.
WOW! That is unbe-freaking-lievable! Congrats on the steal
Here’s a shameless cross-post. Send me a PM if you can help.
I need working PS2 PCBs for the Converter Compatibility Thread. Ideally you would just have these lying around after upgrading to a PS3 or 360 PCB. I don’t have some great use for these aside from tossing them in a shoebox stick and testing them with the converters I own. Think of of it as donation to SRK.
HRAP 1/2, T5, SFAC, Namco, etc. Basically from any commercially released PS2 stick…
I’ll pay $20 or so for these if you can’t part with them for less. Please test them as I cannot resurrect a dead PCB.
I got my SFAC 8V going today. That PCB hated every converter I own. No wonder you guys were struggling with this one.
