Hi.
So I want to convert my HRAP4 to a Hitbox. My biggest problem is where to get the metal plate and plexi with that layout.
I don’t know if it’s possible to just have a plexi put on the HRAP4 without the metal plate, that would be cheaper and easier to get, just someone that works with plastic.
Thanks.
Plexy replacement for the top panel at best is a “band-aid on a flesh wound” type of solution.
You really want that replacement metal panel as it will withstand with the beating the controller will take as a hit box controller.
Unless you got a good friend who owns a metal work shop, you are far better off getting the Official Hitbox.
Going to a metal shop for a one off fabrication will cost you more than the Official Hit box, perhaps the Official Hitbox and Hrap4 together.
How about just taking a Dremel to the existing metal panel?
You have to ether incorporate or plug up that joystick hole.
I don’t think you do, as long as you’ve got art sandwiched between the plate and the plexi you’d never know. Unless there’s something I don’t know about the Hori stick you can just cut a general shape around the buttons.
allfightsticks use a universal plate for all stick/hitbox layouts to no ill effect.

Thanks for the answers.
I was thinking last night about drawing the exact size and place of the buttons on the metal plate and take it to a Metal Shop, that way is probably cheap.
Things I have to do later with this method. Paint the metal part, some nice color with effect to it, without the need of a plexi and get something to cover the joystick hole.
Update:
I draw on the metal plate where I want the buttons.
I used my hand confortable position to see where I wanted. I really don’t like on the hitbox layout how the left and down buttons are side by side, and that made it easier since it wouldn’t be possible because of the joystick hole.
