<span style=“font-style: normal; font-weight: normal;”>The sticky says Evo <u style=“font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;”>2011 is BYOC. Is this also true of Evo 201? I’m just curious if I’ll need to get a PS2 to PS3 converter or if I can just leave my controller at home and use one there.
Pretty much every Evo has been BYOC…bring your gear.

Pretty much every community tournament is BYOC. It’s always safe to assume you need to bring one.

Not sure what defines a tourny as being a “community” tourny vs some other kind, but this will be the 1st video game tourny I’ve gone to that was BYOC. My friend who’s gone to Evo for the past 2 years said he thought Evo had some controllers for people to use.

Glad I asked though, now I know to get a converter.

The only fighting game tournaments I’ve ever heard of that provide controllers were the shitty Gamestop nationals that required people to use Xbox 360 pads in a lot of locations. FGC tournaments are all basically BYOC.
