Connection with opponent lost 40002. Helpp

I keep getting this error for 2 weeks now and i cant play any matches online. Im playing in the uae and i dont know if this has something to do with the servers. Anybody knows how to solve this issue? Thanks

I had similar issues on and off. They usually happen when i am in Egypt so i don’t know what is the deal there. Is VoIP blocked in UAE ?

Anyways, if you are on PS4 then set the matchmaking to PS4 only as this issue is much more likely to happen against PC players. Try putting your PS4 on a fixed IP and set your router in DMZ mode so that it would direct all of the data to that IP without filtering. You are basically opening all the ports and information to it.

I would also try playing from another internet connection, just to see if maybe it is something that have to do with your ISP. Try playing other games and see if the same issues appear. I used to have issues with SF5 and Rocket League where matches would always disconnect at the start.

I hope any of this helps, usually they have helped me before so i hope things would work out fine for you. Also ask any of your friends in UAE if it is fine for them.

@amrraed VolP is blocked here in the UAE apparently. what does that have to do with the issue though? Does that mean that i have to use a vpn or something? Thanks for the help. Ima try doing what you said about the router and IP

I’ve given up on ranked because every 3rd game disconnects on me. It’ll be fine if it’s 2-0 or 0-2, but if it’s 1-1 and we’re going for the tiebreaker, I get 40002 like clockwork :frowning:

I’m having the same issue. I’ve port forwarded & set my PS4 to a Static IP & I still have no luck. Has anyone had any luck resolving this issue yet?
