Connection strength doesnt show up

When I play online sometimes other players connection strength bar doesnt show anything. If you let it sit there it will flash 3 times and then show nothing.

However, I recently watched some online matches of a guy playing on a xbox. The same thing would happen to him. He would get 3 flashes but after that it would show him the persons connection.

So i wanted to know if other people that play on playstations have the same problem as me or do the connections show up for them. And is there anything I can do to get them to show?

Edit: Sorry I didn’t say before but this happens when playing SF4.

I’m pretty sure blinking connection means ‘really bad’. If it’s good, it should be solid green bars. Just keep searching for matches until you find some.

The signal strength of the blinking connections seems to vary. Sometimes they’re 4 or 5 bars after you click on them and sometimes they’re one or two bars.

It’s just PSN having trouble trying to establish the connection. Doesn’t mean that it’s a bad connection just because it’s blinking.
