Just double tap the fierce button instead if you’re playing SA3.
I don’t get it when u say 4th or 5th input? And frames and shit? Just tell me the easiest way to get SA1 out cuz thats the only super I use with Dud.
They are telling you the easiest way. If you are looking for a way that does not require any sense of timing, then there is none.
You must have some idea of when to throw the super even if you drum the buttons. The correct timing is that you hit the punch for your super as soon as dudley recovers from the twd+rh. Learn the timing! Then start drumming to guarantee it.
Forget about frames if you’re not already familiar with them, you don’t need to know what they are to learn that link.
Every time you press a button while playing, the game technically registers two inputs: once when you press a button, and once when you release it (e. g. “negative edge”). Because of that, drumming all three punch buttons in quick succession allows you to register not only 2, but 6 successive button presses if you perform it correctly:
Jab x 2, strong x 2, fierce x 2 = 6 potential button inputs
Most of the time you don’t to get 6 full inputs because negative edge is a bit iffy, but you only need 1 of those inputs to match the link window so it doesn’t really matter. As the others said, this gives you more room for error if you miss the strict timing for links such as toward roundhouse into super.
There are no “magic techniques” however, and while this trick does make linking moves a little easier you still need to learn the proper timings first. Dudley’s toward roundhouse into super is not very difficult, try practicing on DC training mode with random guard and crouching dummy on. Just make sure you’re pressing the buttons after Dudley’s arm has fully retracted, but not before the opponent completely turns back.
And just in case, if your problem is that your reactions are too slow to verify if the toward roundhouse connected before performing the super, drumming the buttons will not help. It will only help if you have timing issues. Try practicing in DC training mode or just playing a lot to improve your reactions.
I get it now. Thanks for the help. Just gotta practice more till I get the hang of it.
Peace!!!
C.short x2 puts you at the perfect distance for UOH, super. Standing or crouching.
