ok are there any types of internet browsers that let you pause/resume downloads because I am downloading something that takes 9 hours to download. Example say if im downloading a file and I decide to turn off my computer and later I turn it back on and connect to the internet, then the download automatically resumes from where I stopped. Is this possible? If so please help me.
latest yahoo anti spy shows utorrent as trojan. is this normal ?? I checked the folder and it only has random torrent files with .torrent extensions thats it.
Where are you getting it from? Make sure it’s a reputable site.
If in doubt, just use a bittorrent client that allows you to check sum the install file.
Sometimes false alarms happen, especially for security software. See if it’s a known false positive by checking the anti-spyware site. There should be a section that covers it.
Yes, it should would work fine. DDR memory is a lot more expensive than DDR2 memory is right now. I think it’s because it’s legacy status now and no longer being made in large quantity. Ebay is your best bet for some cheap sticks.
so my friend randomly gave me his cordless Logitech EX110 desktop (think I might’ve posted about it before). naturally, I don’t need the keyboard since I use a laptop, so I proceed to insert the disc to install the mouse. installation goes perfectly, I plug in the wireless adapter, and a light comes on (the one in the middle). I put fresh new batteries into my mouse, push connect button on receiver, then connect button on the mouse. nothing. no matter what I do, the mouse is not recognized. what should I do to fix this?
the laptop is from HP and the operating system is Vista.
So remember that codec packs are horrible. If you have mpegsplitter.ax on your system, destroy it with prejudice. I’ll see if I can find gabest’s contact info to get him to fix the divide by zero crashes it’s having, but it’s just fucking ridiculously bad and probably Public Enemy #1 as far as bad codecs/filters for Windows are concerned right now.
Check the device manager for mouse drivers. If you see more than one, delete them and start over. If you only see one, make sure it’s the right one and then remove it. That means it’s probably corrupted. Go into safe mode and check there, too. You’re not going to have use of the mouse while you’re doing this BTW. Once you got all the mouse drivers removed, go install your mouse with updated drivers from the website.
Hey guys i need help with downgrading from Vista to XP. i purchased a desktop from HP they pre installed vista for me and i dont like it at all, so i tried installing XP but while its installing i get a blue screen error saying windows has stopped to prevent any damage to my hard drive. I asked a friend of mine he said it might be the CD so i tried a new CD and still dosent work. i also tried installing at a third party but still same error can anyone help me?
…if you’re planning on downgrading you should do a clean format and boot from the CD to install XP. Note that you should probably check HP’s website to make sure there are drivers available for all the internal hardware. It may be possible to find the drivers elseware but it’s going to be a huge pain in the ass.
If you wanted a machine with XP on it, you should have just built it yourself.
I have 256 Megs of RAM…I only use it for the Internet, Pic Programs…I don’t play game on the PC, My PC is running slow half the time…Do I need to get my RAM
not for what you do. if that’s REALLY all you do, then 256 is perfectly fine. i ran 128 for the longest in my win2k system because all i did was use it as a terminal for SRK… in fact, i cancelled every boot option except internet explorer with the homepage on SRK. Then I got an XP laptop with 256, and until about three years ago, i only used my computers to get on SRK and check email.
