Complete "How to Change the Music in MVC2 + How to make your game selfboot" Thread

So if you:

I’d been wondering why I was hitting crashes in PalMod, and I think this was it. My private build of PalMod was updated on my site, but again, I do NOT recommend using that for making CDs - it might work, but I haven’t tried it - I’ve just been playing around. Only “verified” changes get put into that build, but still: official builds from Suupabuu are the way to go unless you’re feeling really adventurous.

Thanks again to Suupabuu for making this great tool - I’m looking forward to seeing the next version.

Mango sent going up right now

:woot:
P.S. ill ask i again how do u edit cables psimitar color…and mag’s color effects when throws a LP or a jumping HP

LOL ask on aim…

lol no it was the bin2boot read the post i didn’t have to change the dummy file the colors didn’t make the character file get bigger

why the hell wont anyone share some characters move colors? like mag’s jabs or cables beam or psimitar…damn…

A: One of the two people who have Really worked on this is understandably proud of the hard work involved and wants to hold off to properly debut this + the info for Evo
B: The other cat Really working on this doesn’t have a flash drive anymore nor Internet access from home, so nobody will see those results until he’s fully done.

If YOU want people to share, do the work to figure it out yourself at this point. All give and no take does not a community make. But it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out, and anybody who does figure pieces out could certainly share that info.

So I updated edit.cpp to accept “bad” pastes ( “#98797987987987” as opposed to “(#09987978)” ), but then I realized it probably wasn’t interesting so didn’t bother posting the updated edit.cpp .

Listen I understand all the hard work it takes, but at least point a fellow in the right direction…:wgrin:

hit me up on aim kid, i gotcha. That goes for anyone else looking for help with extra moves too.

Couldn’tve said it better myself preppy.

Damn, last time I help someone out. So ungrateful…tsk tsk.

I could post up a couple of the palettes but most are speculation. My method was looking at the palettes and trying to see on a running game which of the palettes are relevant.

Also, a question for Doc, I noticed that Ironman has very few editable palettes ( i think like 3, last time I remember), can I get a hint on whether or not I can edit his rockets and which one is it?

Oh and thanks for the last tip. I havent been able to respond cause of time restraints. Cant wait to see your edits.

His rocket as in the crouching fierce rocket? That is shared with his armor.

Anyway here’s a little something I whipped up in 10 minutes for everyone to get their feet wet with editing moves the right way. This is the definitive way to figure out how edit the moves. Trial and error. :looney:

If something is wrong lemme know and I’ll correct it.

Sorry I should have phrased it better. I meant the jets coming out of his boots (on fly or airdash). And thanks for the pic

Well see thaz f"d up, i always thank ppl :wgrin: shit i understand the hard work u guys put into…its only fair to give props and credit :bgrin:

Uh this just off the top of my head as I’m about to go out, I think it’s extra 2 1 - 15? All of Iron Man’s shit is shared pretty much. Fool around with extra 2 and see what you get. :looney:

It was sarcasm. :wonder:

:wonder:……

that skimitar is for fags. :arazz:

i don’t want props or credit… just put the money in the bag and leave quietly.

'
dont worry i got “money in the bank” that can be arranged… :wgrin:

i’ll start sharing a little from my mix.
