I have been following this thread for quite some time now but something has been bugging me when I try. to do a PS2 custom MvC2 myself.
Now seeing the process is almost similar with the ones used for previous Smackdown vs Raws and GHs, I tried giving it a shot. But everytime I would make one for MvC2, it won’t get past the PlayStation 2 logo.
Here’s what I have done:
- Made sure all songs to be used are 48000, 16bit stereo wavs first before converting to ADXs.
- Inserted ADXs into the AFS00 file (once via AFS Explorer, once via DKZ Studio). Also changed reserve slot space as necessary.
- Made an IML via CD DVD Generator 1.20
- Made an ISO out of it; once with DKZ, once with Apache 3.
- Burned into a CD-R via Nero, Alcohol 120 and Img burn, on lowest allowed write speed.
All results so far ended up not getting past the PS2 logo.
Any ideas as to where the possible error would lie? Thanks in

should this thread be closed now that the next gen systems have taken over? or will the lag and random issues force/allow us to continue to play on our custom mixes/continue to make em?
I’m praying that the PS3 version isn’t as bad as the 360 version as far as offline goes, after all, it was play tested by Magnetro/Mike Z.

custom mixes ftw…also atleast you can superjump safely without getting randomly vyped in the dc version lol.
