could be you have the latest version of dc. if it works in nullDc it should work. rembember to put in your new dummy file, increasing the image file to or above 600mb. other than that… i have no idea what you’re going through. hope it helps.
If you’ve ever played a burned disc on your DC before, then there is a step you’re not doing, otherwise it’d be working.
If the Sega logo comes up, then it sees the IP.BIN you inserted into your ISO. If it stops there, then it can’t read the 1st_read.bin file on the disc; either you set the LBA in everything to the wrong number, or the file is not there, or the executable pointed at by the IP.BIN isn’t the executable you have, etc.
I had the same issue as swerve, I noticed that when I loaded the original copy that I didn’t edit, in the burner it shows one of the tracks as audio, but in my selfboot.exe and exoboot cdi, it showed both tracks as mode 2. Instead of 1st track audio, second track mode 2.
This was in alcohol and both the original copy and mine were cdi.
i guess i’ll just have to try again tomorrow.
Thanks:)
anyone using vista and having problems creating a dummy file?
Try right-clicking the dummybuilder and clicking the “Run as administrator” button.
I attached a PNG (see below) of the second set I sent to eidrian a few minutes ago. All major teams/chars follow theme by button like my first set.
I got a burst of boredom, and since I didn’t send any music, I created my 2nd color set. Hope people enjoy!
I like the gold cape
More updates, got the following:
*2 Mixes from Donut
*1 Mix and 1 color set + 1 color fix from DVDRummer
*1 Mix from SlanginSmilez
*2 color sets from Narc
*1 Mix from DJ Clayface
*1 Mix + 1 Song Replacement and 2 color sets from Coos
*1 color set from Icemanual
So I’d believe all the music spots are taken by now, leaving only about 3 or 4 for colors.
On another note, i’ve noticed some of your mixes come with the staff, intro and abyss 2nd/3rd stage music, so all the stuff you guys have sent is about 1GB, some are WAVs and such, so no real problem there. To fit all these in one cd, i might have to remove said songs, just to clear some space though i don’t know yet how i’ll be sorting it out.
Are you certain your data folder has a 1ST_READ.BIN in it? And if its there, is it properly hacked? Maybe you left the read-only attribute on it, and it ‘seems’ to be hacked when it’s not.
A random ass pic of a random ass RE-remix of one of my mixes, new colors but same old songs =]
Phantom Mix <~~ pretty much just for personal use…
was bored…
you could trim the eccess length off of the song that you don’t need looped. ya know like capl, open, rank, selc, etc etc. and even the ones you are using for matches, you could cut them down to a certain time frame. (lemme try and explain better, i suck at explaining.) say you have a song that’s 3:24 sec long… trim it down to whatever time that’s only going to be played.
Eidrian, I could send my Match mix if you have open spots. I have all characters and extras done. What is the best way to send the bins to you?
Would you mind hooking me up with those codes and explain the process that you did to make those?
It would be greatly appreciated.
You can send em to him via aim, or you can bundle em up in a zip/rar file and upload to rapidshare/megaupload and then pm him the link.
Song’s only have to be at least 3:05 mins long for a stage since that’s how much time the marvel clock runs.
The marvel clock is not correct. Each Marvel second is about 2-3 seconds long. Your looking at around 5 minutes per timeout.
Trust me it’s not 5 minutes. Test it out on versus mode and play a stage (that has a custom song you know) and let the clock go to 00. Time it even. A song only has to be at least 3:05 per stage.
I could swear I did that and it ran out to about five minutes. I’ll recheck, but assume you are correct on that.
I’d also test it myself right now to make sure but my DC isn’t on me atm. Not to mention the my mixes that I sent to eidrian, most of my songs are around at least the 3 minute mark and that’s how long the marvel clock runs in a match to 00 seconds.
^-- what he said.
If I film a match to time-out, it’s under 3:40, I don’t recall the exact time, but 3:05 or so sounds about right.
