Complaints

Getting lots of games down as loses when I win. At first I thought it was people dropping but no its just you win the game but get a lose for it!

Have no idea why.

My only complain is the ken music at the menu screen, it gets annoying real fast. It’s one of the reasons why i don’t like playing ranked matches. As soon as the match would end, the song will start up again with the intro. It’s even more frustrating when I go looking for a match and get disconnected. I mean, yes the song is good… but when it’s being looped 10 times in 20 minutes… you learn to hate it. I would love an option that would let you turn it off. If they to do that, this game would be perfection to me.

I agree with pretty much everything you just said.

I can’t stand the slowdown effects on fireballs and that sort of thing. I mean i know its an homage to the original game, but this IS NOT the original game. lol.
I dont mind the slow motion when you K.O. someone, but i hate other intentional slowdown. It might be cool if the remix version had slowdown off by default and if the classic version had slowdown on. Other than that, i think that the slowdown in the original game was the result of stress on the hardware that was never intended in the first place and would be better off gone.

And i know some people may say “but the pro players are used to the slowdowns and taking them away would mess up their timing” or something like that. However, i think any pro player that is worth their salt could easily get used to a new version of the game without intentional slowdowns. Its sort of the same argument that sirlin used for making the inputs easier for moves. It helps new players learn the game, and pro players are so good that they will get used to it and adapt nearly instantly.

So for people like me, who 1.) are about as far away from being a pro as humanly possible, and 2.) get their input timing thrown off by a combination of intentional “stylized” lag and networking lag to the point where a jab shoryuken comes out as nothing but a standing jab, it would really be a godsend to have the intentional lag be eliminated.

You’re a big baby. Try listening to let’s get it on now in 3rd Strike on Xbox Live anytime you’re not in a fight. Not even the entire song like HD Remix does…just the 10 second vs. screen chorus looped for all eternity. When you’re scrolling the through the menus looking for a fight “let’s get it on ya’ll 10 9 8 7 6”. When you’re selecting your character “let’s get it on now 5 4 3 2 1”. When you’re done with a fight you go back to the menu and you just keep hearing that same 10 second loop of the song. I’m like the only person that actually likes that song too so even for me it got annoying when you can only hear 10 seconds of a cheesy rap over and over.

To be honest…we should be glad this game even came out before Xmas. The pandora’s box worth of bugs and glitches are unacceptable but the blow is lessened a bit. Mainly through the fact that the game otherwise costed less than a dinner at a decent sit down restaurant.

the slowdown is there for a reason, from making certain things “not possible.” the slowdown is there, by design, ever since world warrior. trust me, you wouldnt want a deejay, and especially a guile to get in your face with no slowdown. it can get really ugly

But think of the combo videos man! Ya know…for the children

i hear people’s complaints on the new air sbk, but complaining about the ground sbk seems kind of silly to me. maybe it’s not a game-changer, but how often did you use the old ground sbk? to maybe get out of a tick throw loop and hope that the grappler is sleeping?

i think there’s a dipswitch for this

Screw Guile without slowdown, Akuma without slowdown would be even more retarded. Air fireball corner trap would be guaranteed, air fireball mixup combos would be way easier to do and much more consistent, and demon would be a hundred times easier to pull off in air fireball mixups. It’s really the biggest thing standing between Akuma and straight-up brokenness.

Slowdown is not an homage to the original game, it’s a feature put in to prevent characters from having overly ridiculous combos and mixups off of projectiles.

I don’t mean to be rude… but please

I just don’t like this game. I’m not the type that likes to explain myself. Especially on a forum filled with conceited nerds…but anyways

What I don’t like about HDr:

  • Easy Notations
  • No Reverse throws (I try to do them like all the time I never seen it happen. seemed a lot easier in super turbo)
  • The SHITTY FUCKING MUSIC. It’s terrible…period. Even the fucking original themes suck on HDr. They DON’T EVEN SOUND LIKE THE FUCKING ORIGINAL. IT’S CRAP. (Street Fighter Anniversary Arranged ST music was absolutely GDLK)
  • Some character move property and changes. WTF @ Dictator/M.Bison. Worthless ass Fake slide. WTF capcom? Honda lp. Headbutt sure it stops ONE FIRE BALL (try stoping the next one thrown right after), but it’s STILL JABABLE.
  • Charge moves seem like they take a year.

And all and all you guys SWEAR this is the same game. Get serious!!!

What I do like about the game…well kinda:

  • The game looks pretty. But even with that being said…I really don’t GFA…LOL.

Okay please fill me with red. Because it’s my favorite color anyways. Call me all types of noobs/scrubs…oh man being good at a fightiing games makes u so pro…you can pull so many females…you can work anywhere without a H.S diploma…someone will rub your feet…it’s an auto guard straight to heaven…you can tech outa hell…blah, blah, blah, blah

oh and BTW, if you guys like this game…enjoy it, more power to yha! I’m not gonna be on here and say u suck for playing something u enjoy. not my business. I’m just stating why I DON’T LIKE THE GAME. simple…

" goes back to playing street fighter ex 2 +…LMFAO"

The only complaint I have is the black screen freezing up my PS3. I hope they will issue a patch to correct this problem. It’s a very inconvenient nuisance. Other then that I love this game. I’m actually playing this more then 3rd Strike!

how can people not like title screen music/ken’s theme ? ken’s theme is one of the best stage musics ever, i even have it as my ringtone. serious.

^
the only hope for this post is that maybe its cleverly disguised as bait and i am dumb for taking it. otherwise its a post from a guy called “digimonempORER” calling other people conceited nerds and explaining why he does not like a game when he is CLEARLY NOT THE TYPE TO EXPLAIN HIMSELF

most of those complaints are fucking horrible.

  1. uh…i dont know wtf this means so lets skip it

  2. “i cant reverse throws”, a player problem, isnt the same as “there are no reversal throws in the game”.

  3. music is music and doesnt affect gameplay. mvc2 has I WANNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE NANANANA but people dont bitch about that. besides half the time the music cuts out anyways.

  4. lol complaining about buffs…totally confuses the shit outta me. i mean, i guess honda’s jab headbutt could NOT go through fireballs but how the hell is that better than what we got now (it looks like he is WAAHHHHing from honda’s perspective)?

  5. lolwut? same as ST…

about the whole slowdown thing, i get why its there. in the case of akuma’s air fireball though, i think they could have done something else like make it have, i dunno, really short hitstun (random idea, not sure if its any good) or something if youre really not “supposed” to do a huge lolcombo after hitting one. id actually be happy if the slowdown period was decreased - the way it is now really feels like the air fireballs “test the limits of the xbox 360’s processing power” :. although to be honest this is less irritating than before since i realized i dont actually play shotos and wouldnt know wtf to do anyways

Things I’m not liking: Getting tired of getting dropped during a tournament…especially when I’m winning, getting dropped randomly from a match/room as DevilJin has said, having the music cut off on me…, this weird glitch that happened with T.Hawk today where I visually saw the 360 grab and my super bar go up and then in an instant he stopped, I got thrown and my super bar went back to where it was as if the move never happened; Blanka vs. T.Hawk, Cammy vs. T.Hawk, Guile vs. T.Hawk…yeah…getting in is a bitch in a half…; yeah I think that’s all for right now…

man, you call us conceited nerds, but you’re sure salty over a video game.

The lack of training mode features is confusing. No dummy recordings. No direct restart option (to reset dummy stun). No damage, stun, and command input displays. I’m playing on a 40GB PS3 and have only experienced the life bar glitch so far.

Man all I know is that I play ST here and there…and I’m done with this discussion. I don’t like HDr and that’s all there is to it. :wonder:

Can’t back up your weak ass claims, no wonder you’re ducking out.

Sounds like somebody’s getting their ass beat online when they thought they were good.

Same. Since I only play 3rd Strike offline in the first place this will be something to hold me off until SFIV. My fav Blanka is even better in this game and I’m surprising fools with those Japanese ST Blanka shenanigans. It’s definitely a different game from 3rd and you really have to commit to everything you do. You can’t mask things and work gimmicks for nearly every situation like you can in 3rd. It’s really a different game and I’m glad I’ve been playing ST on the side for a while or I’d be a bit lost. Since I know enough of what I’m doing all the scrubs are so free and I can always feel better about myself after the real ST heads beat me.

Oh and yeah…let’s stop the bickering upstairs. Not everyone is going to like this game no matter how much of a milestone it is for the SF community.

Agreed. Also, a option to remove the option window when you press Start in trainings mode. Shit is covering up everything. How am I suppose to look at single frames, hitboxes properly lol

chun_li1

Hmmm…wow I didn’t even think about that. Kinda hard to evaluate the hitboxes if you can’t even see them for more than 20 milliseconds.
