Complaints

I have the PS3 & xbox & button config saves for me…

Yea, no probs with button configs saving here either.

New SBK stuff for Chun = garbage. Its more of a extra nerf then something used for “fun”, minor, on-the-safe-side buff.

Air SBK messing up my jump up RH/HK (from guarding position) on reaction anti air. Otochun would be pissed too I bet.

New ground SBK, I cant use in certain situations where the old SBK worked…

If there was a Dip switch to turn on, off new SBKs, Id have used it long time ago.

This move is a pain, not fun at all. Needs to disappear or get improved.

I already got some ideas, but I doubt this game will get any patches.

Complaint #1: If you play local multiplayer, sometimes the controllers criss-cross. So Controller #1 controls Player #2, and vice-versa. What makes it worse is that setting up button config on Controller #1 will then save to Controller #2 and vice-versa. Make sure Controller #1 controls Player #1 before you start playing.

Complaint #2: Playing on pad, people tend to have different button configs. For local multiplayer, it would be nice if you could save several different button templates, and each player can just pick his preferred button setup right after he chooses his character. I don’t think something like this would be overly difficult to implement and it makes sense.

Honestly? A chat between spectaters would be nice.
Why also dosent it show the recently met players in the recently met players folder?
I mean if there not going to give an option for ingame to talk or PM’s. At least they can give you the recently met players names so you can try to remember the name of that one guy you went 1 for 1 everysingle match for like 40 matches on end.
Point is_
Friend invites ingame would be nice T_T or even ingame msging would be nice. Going to the XMB menu and typing a msg in the middle of a match is kinda overated and I am from now on, this point am boycotting it :expressionless:

Mine goes to default every single time I exit the game

Yeah man, me too. My brother, who has an account onn the same PS# as me, also always have to reconfig.

Yo that’d be awesome. Better yet, before the game so I’ll know to take him seriously hah.

I personally like the training mode, its just like any other from what I can tell right now. Unless you guys a want a step-by-step combo walkthrough like in tekken.

There’s no record/playback feature in training mode. That fuckin sucks.
That fuckin sucks. That fuckin sucks. I actually typed that 3 times.
Game is awesome but the lack of some things (local multiplayer only demo? Hello?) make me rage.
Seriously, a record feature is awesomeshits, unless you don’t want people to get better faster.
I think considering how long we waited we should riot to have these things included in the next patch.

^^^

agree with above, i am so mad about this. There is so much stuff I would like to test in the game. I am spoiled by SC4 training mode, maybe but it seems like something like this should have easily been included for testing out stuff. Because how are you supposed to test stuff in a real match if maybe the other person is going to mess up a punish or whatever.

Man, that sucks. /, man, sweet, I hope Chun Li sucks balls!

I hate Chun, but yeah, I hear ya on the new SBK.

My one complaint (other than the obvious cut off of the music which is driving me nuts cuz I love it) is to HURRY UP and fix the health bar glitching issue. The netcode for this game is GDLK and it’s so stupid when I can’t take a match seriously cuz I’m never really sure if my opponent is going to die when I hit them with a combo/throw etc. Especially in tense matches against players who have quite a bit more old school SF experience than I do.

Anyone notice if you combo into guile’s super, you only get 5 hits from the super instead of 6? Is this a bug, or does Sirlin just not like combo maniacs?
Also, anyone find the 720 to be a bit easier to pull off then the 2xhcf/hcb b/f? I could pull it off a tick before, but the new motion is harder (for me at least).

hrm, complaints… for starters, all the graphical glitches, like the jacked up health bars, and a new one i encountered today, where all sprites, background, graphics are missing except my own character sprite. all the psn errors, psn disconnects, and timing out are extremely annoying. to use an overused phrase, truly an epic fail on QA.

I dunno man, Gief seems pretty damn good with his new clothesline. I can’t count the number of times I’ve been hit out of a dragon punch by that thing. It’s seriously retarded.

Now for my complaints ahem:

Art is ugly, game sounds like shit until you put the old tunes back on. (getting the obvious out of the way)

Quickmatch always seems to bring you to the same room.

Graphical glitches with lifebars

Music Glitches

They managed to make Fei Long suck more and less fun all at once.

Guile’s close stand roundhouse comes out from way too fucking far making it a pain in the ass to use step kick sometimes.

Deejay’s dreadkick going over low attacks was kinda borderline, but having it always combo and almost always dizzy is just stupid.

Will have to wait and see, but safe Blanka ball seems pretty overpowered for time being.

Hud is still ugly and unwieldy, ditto for the menus.

Not to sound like a broken record again, but the new motions were unnecessary and probably change the game for the worse.

Why the hell don’t my display adjust option never save after i reboot the console?
I’m playing on a 4:3 TV and the default setting is waay off, chun li looks fat.

That and there’s no screen position option, only screen size. So i’m either stuckt with distorted field or black bars. Terrible, even HF on XBLA had both, what the hell?

It seriously looks like they brought EVO players and experts to test the gameplay and shit, but no actual QA team to actually test game functionality. Gaaah. What’s worse with these issues is that the game feels like sex otherwise.

I seriously hope sirlin is reading this topic, a patch is mandatory at this point, at least for the bugs.

I agree about the gripes on chun li. I tought the philosophy of the game was to make the imputs more precise so you don’t get what you don’t want. Why fuck it up with that stupid leniency on air SBK? I’m not even bitching about the ground one, just the stupid air one that makes instant jumping moves a pain in the ass.
Then again the removal of the stupid flip is a godsend. Now i can actually use c.mk and not be scared of random occurances. I don’t care what people say, going from walking forward to df.mk is faster and more effective than forward to down or downback, even if it’s just 1-2 frames. You don’t get charge sure, but hey, can’t have everything. I also never got hit by so many lightning legs in my life, but that’s not a bad thing.

It might sound like i don’t like the game but it’s not true at all, i LOOOOVE it.

My only real complaint so far is that in a few ranked matches; the connection fucked up at the character select screen for some reason and **I get a loss **on my record. My record isn’t that great, but I would like to actually lose if i’m going to get a loss on it.

The other thing that was more funny than anything was that I just played a tournament and won, only to have the guy I beat in the last match be declared the winner.

LOL. Don’t like safe Blanka Ball? Just pick Fei Long. Problem solved. Even if you think Fei sucks he makes that matchup way easier.

Oh and have 360 players been experiencing a lot of drop outs during player matches today? For the past hour I haven’t been able to stay in a player match for more than 10 minutes without the whole room getting disconnected. I would hope most of the problems would get fixed in the next week or 2 but seeing how long this game took just to come out I’m doubtful.

On the PS3 the inputs are effected by online play. Offline they are fine. Online, you’re game may slowdown a bit and instead of a DP ull get a hadouken, or instead of a super, you’ll get a DP. (and im not just jumping the gun on my execution. there is something different when you play online.)

PS3 version crashes a lot, especially when you turn the game off. Screen goes black and the PS3 beeps 3 times and then you have to walk up to it and restart it. Very annoying, considering the only way to get back to the main menu is to restart the game.

Health bars, backgrounds dissapearing, mic volume too low, etc etc.

Cant spectate other matches in tournament mode. Fucking lame if this was by design. lol.

No way to get back to the main menu, without resetting the game.

You can go through you opponent when you shouldnt be able to do that. Kens crazy kicks do it often. Sometimes if you are close to an opponent your shinkuu hadouken will go right through them. (edit: i havent found a way to reproduce this purposely, it seems to just happen sometimes…)

edit: (just my opinion)

  • akuma still too overpowered. (too strong, too aggressive. invincible/unblockable super)
  • guile is too good for turtling players. (even easier to get stuck in his sonicboom/flashkick traps.)
  • fei long seems underpowered, slightly.
  • cammy’s spinning backfist is too predictable. should go faster (less startup frames).

yeah sometimes the timing on moves is weird (real men use reversal fireball as antiair hur hur) because of lag but its seriously pretty damn good already so im not gonna complain about that

as said before i wish chun’s air sbk didnt exist in its current form. it would be cool if fighting games allowed you to disable moves from your character’s movelist.

i hate the slowdown that occurs when you hit someone with akuma’s air fireball. the game lags or something and eats all your inputs during this time. the worst part is that i have no idea when the stupid OMG STRONG HIT EFFECT LOLOLOLOLOL will be over so i can actually try to combo or at least press buttons. ive done a combo before (air fireball, c.mk, mk hurricane, any strength dp) so i know its possible. maybe akuma getting a combo off an air fireball hit is kinda bad for game balance but the game sure has a funny way of telling you so :\

i hate how quick match never actually works and half the time when i go to custom game its fails to connect :\ ive given up trying to play ranked matches for the time being.

this is more of a personal gripe but i really wish people would make rooms of size 3 or 4. its irritating to have to watch 4 other matches before you get to play again.

There needs to be some way to cancel your character selection, in case (1) you screw up, or (2) you find yourself playing classic Super Turbo (i.e. your opponent is hosting it) with a character you don’t want for that version of the game.

Case (1) has happened to me a few times, I’m sitting there wondering why the game doesn’t start, hmmm OK I’ll just hit A again, oops there’s the character select screen and I just got Ryu, fck Ryu I hate him. Or I’ll just be tattooing cheerfully on my buttons, oops, Ryu again, fck him I hate that dude.

Case (2) happens when I select Quick Match and what the heck I’ll play Cammy’s sorry ass this time, oops the guy is hosting a classic (as opposed to remixed) game, now I gotta play Cammy with her ass special motions and her ass spinning backfists and her ass drills, f*ck this.
