Hey, so i was thinking unbanning pheramosa for any postbank tournament. I asked for the ban in prebank because there really isnt much besides marowak that can reliably check her so we can have good team building without needing certain things. Postbank open up lots more check to reliably check her. Thoughts?

Hey I have a new team in mind I’m currently working on

Incineroar
Starmie
Weavile
Tsareena or Tapu Bulu
Mimikyu

and final slot still undecided.

Incineroar as a bulky attacker that’s sp def invested
Starmie as spin support and special attacker
Weavile as Pursuit traper and physical attacker
Tsareena as scarfed attacker
Mimikyu as a set up phsyical sweeper

I would use Bulu>Tsar on that team; it will appreciate the healing more and Bulu hits hard.

Unless you reeeeeeeally like Inciniroar I would switch it with A-Marowak. That way you have a lighting immunity and hit harder at the cost of some bulk.

I would use either Minior or Skarmory for your final slot. This team needs some hazards and both of those mons excel at putting them up.

Hmm I was thinking of that. Do I go with rocks or spikes? Or do I need both? I’ll take a look at Minior. Oh and I think I’ll drop Mimikyu for the A Marowak. I think Skarmory may be the better choice for my hazard setter to check my ground weaknesses with these two fire types.

Edit: Oh Minior is rock and fly. That changes things. I might use it. Does rock resist rock? Because I already have 3 pokes weak to rock. Can’t have more rock weakness.

Rock is neutral to itself. Too many rock/ground pokes gen 1 caused confusion

Damn that sucks. No Minior then. But that 72spd though. Guess I’ll be goig with Skarmory. Or look into a ground, fighting or other steel type that resist rock and can set up hazards.

Is it just me missing it but does Smogon have a web page that lists banned pokemon, moves, and why? Maybe the page is called something else.

There’s smogon and pokemon online for competitive pokemon stuff. They’re mostly independent of each other tho so different it’s gonna be a bit different.

You’re not gonna have easy access to that on either site for at least another month since the SuMo meta is still very new

It is resistant to both of bulu and fini’s stab. Not saying its beating lele because it isn’t, but those too are beat by it. I haven’t done damage calcs but depending on the build it probably one shots KoKo and can take any one hit. Scolipede is probably better. Didn’t even think about that but toxicroak will be an option especially since it checks mist rain teams and ash greninja since they are specs and its stabs it can tank.

Ah, yeah, I forgot about Dry Skin. It’ll force a switch on Fini, probably, unless it starts running HP Ground or something.

Bulu hits so hard i wouldnt be surprised if it OHKOd toxicroak with wood hammer when banded. Koko deals a number with tbolt (toxicroak isnt that bulky) but also can just voltturn out. Toxicroak beats fini tho, no questions asked

Band is still common. Toxicroak is faster but it can’t switch in (banded woodhammer murders it) is more what i was getting at
