Community: The Thread

lolololol did anyone notice two characters from cougar town were in the last scene cheering.

I saw Busy Phillips, who else was there?

travis was right next to her.

just watched the paintball episodes, i definitely enjoyed the western motif more than the star wars motif.

That star wars felt so… tacked on rather quickly. What a shame they didn’t keep running the western theme. I actually enjoyed the plot development and I fucking HATE westerns so that says a lot.

Both episodes were pretty baller. Britta/Abed has to be incoming at some point…

I recently finished watching all of the 1st season and I’m definitely hooked. I gotta start season 2 pretty soon.

annnnd we have an abed sighting in part of 1 of the cougartown season finale. this crossover is umm…gettin weird.

that made my day, good find

Let Chad be, man.

Great premier. Not many laugh out loud moments, but the Abed stuff had me grinning through out the episode. Abed reacting to his shows ending and discovering Doctor Who was like looking in a mirror heh.

Serious style points for the Jeff Winger dream sequence. Extra extra bonus points for Britta looking good in just a shirt.

p.s. Ron’s escape plan in the opening of Parks and Rec was so sick.

Damn I forgot Community was back. Gonna have to check it out when I get home.

This episode was great. John Goodman, Omar, 2001… Community lives and dies by its pop cultural content, and this one had some great stuff.

Not the strongest episode, but a solid season premiere. This may be the first time Community was the weakest show during NBC’s Thursday comedy lineup. Parks and Rec was good, The Office was unusually strong (I don’t watch it much at all, but from what I’ve seen it’s not usually that good), and even Whitney, despite the extremely condescending and super-loud laugh track that was played every 6 seconds, was on the whole pretty good.

I thought Parks and Rec was mainly busy with addressing dangling threads from last season and setting up new ones. Which is fine, but it was more of an episode of necessity than a great episode in its own right.

w.e it had a dr.who reference. i am happy. plus its clearly setting up for jeff’s clear daddy issues he has wit pierce.

i refuse to watch whitney…my hate for female comedians is strong…and ive fuckin hated her since day one.

I’m tight. Still didnt see anything from this season

So, it’s been a few weeks since anyone has talked Community, so lemme start it up again. It’s been an EPIC 3 weeks. Remedial Chaos Theory may be their most ambitious and well written episode. As a person who writes for fun, I was insanely impressed with how well the writers had to know the characters to write 7 storylines in which one is absent and how that changes the group dynamic. After that, we get the Halloween episode, which may have been improperly placed after Chaos because of the similarity between the two episodes. Finally, we have Advanced Gay, last nights episode. Pierce ruled the night. Every line he uttered was comic gold.

Also, Britta got called “The worst” by a priest, which calls back to the bagel episode, one of my all time favorites.

“I’m gonna eat spaceman panini’s with black hitler and there’s nothing you can do about it!”

Parks and Rec has been pretty funny this year, but I still think Community is the best comedy show on television. It’s kinda sad how the critics kinda just don’t get it sometimes.

Also the Office has been funny at times but it’s getting real dumb. Michael left and then everyone became as stupid as he was.

Critics like community. But the ratings from viewers are shit, who knows why. It is up against Big Bang which is ridiculously fucking popular, which might be why.
